I've never understood the "no dating" policy when it comes to idols. I'm an old man, and it's been my experience that while there will be some people who quit liking their fav out of jealousy, most real fans are very supportive because this makes their idols more "human", and therefore more approachable.
The only two Japanese idols I know in fiction are Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4 and Sayaka Maizono from Danganronpa. Both of those cuties have radiant personalities and have a crush on the main protagonists, Yu Narukami in Persona 4 and Makoto Naegi in Danganronpa. Both of the idols long for a normal life despite being in show biz while probably have the "no dating" policy stuck to their heads
Its apparently a rule so that the fans can have fantasies about being the gf of male idols of bfs of female Idols. its all about marketing. (making money) Apparently some Idols have friends of the opposite gender in secrete.
@@davidgreener8774 I did some online research trying to figure this out. You're right about the fantasy/marketing thing, but I found something that seemed to rank higher. Scheduling! Idol promoters want their idols available on demand for spot appearances as well as scheduled performances and when they have a bf/gf it's hard to get an idol to do a promo appearance on short notice if they're with their S.O.. So most agencies sign their idols to a three yr. no contact contract to ensure an idol's availability if a big sponsor calls on short notice wanting a particular idol to do a promo for them. Once an idol becomes sufficiently established and the agency has recouped their original investment, an idol's new contract will give the idol more control over their private life. I guess those first years can be pretty hectic while an idol is making a name for themselves.
I'm not even done watching this, and I already love the voice actor for the female mc. They did an absolutely amazing job, I was really impressed, and I hope to see them in future videos!

Story Idea:
An adult woman (FMC) receives a wedding invitation from her childhood friend and her first love(MMC) who she hasn’t heard from since high school. The reason why they cut contact was that she was a tsundere that teased yet loved him, but he finally had enough and stopped talking to her. She tried to talk to him but he always ignored her like she didn’t exist. He then left to a university far from her and now she learns that he’s getting married. After the wedding, she goes home heartbroken that because of her attitude she lost her first love. When she falls asleep she wakes up back in her high school days, before he cut contact with her. Taking an advantage of this event she vows to change her attitude to become a better person and to not lose her first love again.
i wrote a story like this and won my regional comp with it, although it wasnt great this story plot added so much emotional value that with some good voice acting it could translate next level to animated manga styles
This is a good story, I never seen a story that the male main character had enough of the female main character's teasing
I figured the main character was secretly the idol Haru, but I was not expecting the entire idol group to be in the same school together
ikr plot twist of all time, there were hints given after the girl confronted the bullies

As for the bullies, they were also expelled from school and they turned on kuzumiya for his attitude afterwards the bullies are also living a hellish life too.

Episodes like this just remind me of how much I despise the toxic idol culture. I've always felt like idols are exploited and kept under insanely restrictive rules that needlessly impact their personal lives solely to benefit the profits of the idol management agencies with no thought given to the fans or the idols themselves.
Imagine any job in America telling you that you cannot date someone or be married in your personal life! Even with America's pretty terrible labor laws, there are enough worker protections to ensure that no company can make such demands, even of our artists and actors.
Musicians are kind of in a middle ground. We can be married, but some people would rather us not be so they can have a one night stand with us for bragging rights amongst their friends. It is especially true in the rock-and-roll scene due to people like Eddie van Halen and Mick Jagger creating the whole perception people have about us being party animals who will sleep with anyone who has big enough tits and a nice face.
@@johnathanedwards9054 I don't think Americans care much about the relationship status of their celebrities. In fact, a lot of attention is given to their relationship status, and we see full-page spreads of celebrity weddings in tabloids.
This is quite different from idol culture where fans will get angry and shun an idol if they have the temerity to fall in love with someone. That's not normal, especially for a person who is in their late teens and early 20's like the vast majority of idols. That the idol management companies encourage and normalize these weird parasocial relationships between idols and their fans where the fans are encouraged to project romantic feelings upon an idol is a big part of the problem and isn't healthy for either the fans or the idols.
To use your example, if a fan had demanded that Mick Jagger remain single and seemingly available for them, and had demanded that he be fired for his many, many, MANY relationships with a great many women, any American would think that she was nuts.

EDIT: It's now 12:20 PM real time. I just finished watching the whole thing and I was correct. I've been watching these RomCom Mangas for a while now, and I've developed a sixth sense on many of these situations. Anyways, Hinayuki is such a fangirl. Geeking out the second she mentions Haru and when she finally found out Haruto is Haru in disguise. I hope they are happy going forward, but I think Hinayuki should curb her obsessions. She looks like the kind of girl to blow up like a bomb if things were to go somewhat south. Great story as always.

Fate of the bullies:
They tried to pick on another nerdy person but the guys witness this and exposed them right away. Now they are complete outcasts and no one wants to associate with them and also they got expelled from school. Eventually they went into a life of crime and messed with the wrong person again as that loser is actually an undercover cop. Once the badge is out, they tried to make a run for it but the police came in just in time and arrested them. Their high school antics were exposed along with their recent crime and they will not hesitate to hit a defenseless girl so they were charged as adults and ended up in prison where they became meals with the inmates. Now they are on the bottom and are losers. This is not a typical high school situation as they are now a bunch of H---- and s---. They are prison b----. They are completely ruined and their pride is shattered.
I get that people need to put effort into their appearance but why do people need to force their values on others.
