Another thing that the older type 7s have is the Frank Oglesby announcements one of these is approaching Government Center on the B and C branches. You can also hear him on the Orange Line 1400s. For the red line you have the 1970-1980s builds Alewife to Kendall MIT and JFK U Mass to Braintree
Happy new year, Nick. Hope everything's doing well for you. As for the MBTA I hope to see it improve despite all the hopelessness surrounding the system. Cheers!
@@Random22 The T currently has 14 active CRRC's 1900-1913. So the T has retired alot of the 01600s. Only 38 Out of 52 are active. If the T receives 12 more CRRC 1914-1913 by some point in 2024 might be able to retire the 01500s. It kind of depends how the T will retire the stock. They could either do it by retiring by serious and age or just retiring damaged ones first, and taking out random cars from 15, 16, 17 and 18 per 6 cars delivered
@@nafisali2434 That's likely going to be the case, but then that leaves out the factor of *when* exactly the MBTA will receive the new cars. There hasn't been any update as of now and it may likely stay that way for a good couple more months.
Hi Nick! Happy New Year! Love the sound of the wheels squealing at Boylston! Lots of people complain about it but it’s part of the experience!

Nice Job making it, who knows how long we will able to ride the 01500s and 01600s. I hope you feel better
My best guess is the 01500-01800s will likely remain by at least 2026. By 2027 they may start phasing them out.

@@Random22probably once all CRRC 1500s are delivered for the Orange Line.
