Congratulations on a great channel. I drive past dozens of farms daily and you’re my first glimpse into their inner workings. Pretty fascinating. On a side note … I am grateful smellovision isn’t a thing. 😳
Every time I hear or see the word Triticale I automatically think of that one Star Trek TOS episode with the Klingon spy and the Tribbles that ate all of the poisoned grain. God bless all the hard working blue collar American's and there supportive families and friends who break a sweat and there backs to keep this country rolling every day! People call me a hero, but I was just a hero on standby until they needed to break the glass, Americans like this guy who keep the wheels turning every day are just as much hero's! Right down the line from the truckers to the guy that stacks the shelves. Although there is a bit of fun involved in operating heavy machinery! I ran a 100 year old Northwest Shovel and crane for 11 years and god I miss it dearly.
Bro you are amazing you work on a farm all day I have no idea how you find time to answer our questions I'm a truck driver if you ever want a team drive please hit me up you are crazy amazing when it comes to work
Great video. It is hard for me to believe that I can remember playing the game Chutes and Ladders with your Great -great- grandparents, Harold and Marie Hanson, when I was a little boy.
That is a lot of poo Lukas. Do you wish you had a slotted floor and pit below? Job well done. Richest blessings on you, your family, your farm, and your future!
Those slotted floors are nice for milking cows but when heifers are running around sometimes their foot gets caught in the silt and they break their ankle, so it's good but not good for all animals. We push the poop into the other end of the barn and that has slotted floors and a pit.
What for snakes you got out there? Y'all sure do have a lot of expensive equipment to pay for, love all your hard work, it's a much better life than sitting in an office son! Have a great summer!
Ain't it interesting how working at a young age helps with maturity & a sense of responsibility? I had jobs from a very early age. Paper boy, neighborhood landscaping & snow shoveling, dishwasher, pantry boy, pizza boy. I worked for our mom too. Paid to clean the house every Saturday after cartoons. I am regressing now though. I'll be 65 on Sunday & behave like a toddler some days. Plenty of dairy farms in upstate NY where I grew up but I'm guessing you're in the upper Midwest from your "So, yeah." Scandinavian complexion too.
@dbyers3897 Same here. My mum had me mowing elderly neighbours gardens as soon as I was big enough to push a lawnmower. I had a paper round at 12 years old and went straight into work when I left school at sixteen. I busted my hump on sixteen sometimes eighteen hour shifts for over twenty two years. Now I can hardly walk, let alone do all the things I enjoyed while I could work. Fate decided to steal those things from me early in life and leave me a feeble shadow of my former self. It really does have a cruel sense of irony.
Fascinating to see how you control the Bobcat, thanks!

Do the cows ever get to roam out of there?
When they get out….
How often do you clean out the heifer barn?
Every week, sometimes it gets out of routine and it gets to be like a week and a half
