I watched with excitement this deer bacon from start to finish. I loved it. I must say Danny has a poker face because when he tastes something, you don't know if he likes it or not until he speaks. This looks delicious.
That's pretty incredible how well that deer bacon holds together when sliced. As someone else mentioned, these videos will serve as a great tutorial for me and others. Thanks Danny and Wanda.
Hey, we enjoy your day to day around your living and enjoy your lives. I'm glad to have found your videos. God Bless yall and guide your steps. I see that yall are never in a rush, thank you. Jan and I we have got to that place and time in life it's all about Jesus. ❤
@@jerrylee690 You never SEE them in a rush, because they are too busy doing what they are doing to make time to video it. It’s like ducks on the pond: calm on the surface and paddling madly below.
Ya'll have done it again! Awesome. My mouth is watering! Loved watching the whole process. You made it look easy! My bet is that we'll be seeing and hearing more and more about deer bacon!! Yum!
My mouth was salivating watching this video, i grew up on venison ,although my dad never made the deer bacon, looks tasty. Thank you for sharing we hunted in nev the mule deer
That bacon looks so delicious. Thank you for sharing this. You both have done an amazing job on getting that done and realizing what you can do with different types of meat. It’s a game changer God bless you both.
Beautiful smoke ring on that bacon. That was sure a labor of love and from your reactions, definitely worth it. It would be even more work but maybe you should consider publishing a book (when you have the recipe just the way you like it) so that folks could have a hard copy of the instructions too make it. Thank you for going to all the work of filming all the parts of this very long process, it has been fascinating!
Maybe it would be worth planting pawpaw seeds along the branches of the waterways for deer feed, if nothing else. Pawpaw thrive on neglect, and you never know what seeds will produce; you might get meh, and you might get magnificent.
When you do the beef bacon, I’ve had both the ground and formed kind and the thinly sliced brisket kind. (Both were all beef) the brisket kind is much better when the seasoning is right.
We were gifted some deer bacon this year (commercially processed) and was fantastic. Only downfall for us was it was made like a huge log of bologna and the packages were just too big for the both of us. Like you I had never heard of deer bacon. It is great! thanks for sharing.
I'd really be interested in learning how to make ground chicken or turkey bacon since I can't eat mammal meats anymore. I would need to use duck fat for the fat instead of pork, though. (BTW, we saw a flock of at least 50 turkeys in our back yard this morning. They were led by a big Tom, and 3 big Toms brought up the rear. Man, were they beautiful! )
I'd eat that bacon! My son makes deer/pork sausage and smokes it and it's delicious . He also makes deer burger and we use it for anything you'd use ground beef for like chili, taco soup, and burgers. Thank the Lord I have an avid hunter in the family.
You’re so smart on food prepping and I’d like to congratulate you on the deer bacon too !
I have saved all the bacon videos. I’ll be rewatching them as tutorials! Thank you Danny and Wanda for the step by step!

That deer bacon is amazing. It reminds me of what we call streak a lean. Excellent combination of protein and fat.
You need a booklet for unusual recipes like that. Hard to remember everything on videos.

I have an old Kettle like you have in your smoke house. Had it for over 40 years. It was old when we bought at an estate sale.
You could probably make jerky from some of that 😊❤
I can't wait to try some.
Looks delicious, I'm sure it tastes even better 😋
This is amazing. I want to try it out. Hopefully my son will get him a deer this year
AWESOME!! 😊🤗❤️🙏
There is a butcher shop here that makes beef bacon. He makes one with jalapeño pepper and a plain one. My favorite is the pepper one.
That looks really good. Great information. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning …that looks great

That turned out looking great! I'm impressed with the way it sliced up.

Smoking any kind of fast food in that smoker is going to taste good even if you smoke your old boot probably taste better than my wife's cookin 🇺🇲

Maybe one day Brian and I will just be able to cook for ourselves 😊
Girl I can't wait to let you try some. Needs a little more salt I think but that's me.

Looks like a fire hazard to an extra foot of cleanse around the fire pit would help
Amazing!❤
I’m going to talk to my son about making this type of bacon. It’s like the old time beer jerky I used to buy. You bought a slim Jim or jerky.
We were gifted some deer bacon this year (commercially processed) and was fantastic. Only downfall for us was it was made like a huge log of bologna and the packages were just too big for the both of us. Like you I had never heard of deer bacon. It is great! thanks for sharing.
If I understand aright, pastrami is smoked corned beef, and when you corn your own beef, you don’t need nitrates or nitrites.
That was awesome
Any smoke is good as long you due what it be dune right love you guys on it
Yum! ❤
My goodness does that bacon look good!
Yum!!!
I am so happy for you guys!
Salty Sweet 💝👍🦌👍💝

Wanda I love very crispy bacon. Think you can get this totally crispy?? I’m sooo excited about this!

That’s great you guys get to enjoy wild game like that.
