To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Splendor, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 with new features and dual-tone colour options. Here’s a brief overview of the same in 12 images. Now the bike is offered in 4 different variants and here’s a detailed breakdown of what each variant has to offer. Each variant also brings in unique colours, here’s a breakdown of what each offers.
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is the range-topping version in the 100cc Splendor family, having a few premium features to distinguish itself from the standard version of the motorcycle. If you not interested in the Splendor Plus Xtec and are looking for other options, here are all the bikes and scooters you can get at the same price.
    Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Price
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is available in a single variant, priced at Rs 79,911. The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is available in four colour options: Black Sparking Blue, Black Tornado Grey, Pearl Fadeless White, and Red Black.
Whereas the Splendor Xtec 2.0 is priced at Rs 82,911 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) making it one of India's most expensive 100cc bikes. It is available in three dual-tone colours: Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red.
    Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Engine
The tried-and-tested 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine of the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec produces 8.02PS at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6000rpm while paired with a 4-speed transmission.
    Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Mileage
The Hero Splendor Xtec is one of the bikes with the best mileage in India. Its real-world tested mileage is 83.2kmpl in the city and 95.8kmpl on the highway. The Hero Splendor Xtec 2.0 comes with a claimed mileage of 73kmpl.
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Suspension & Brakes
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is pretty basic under its skin, with the motorcycle having a telescopic fork at the front and five-step preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the back. The 100cc Hero bike has 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, which come wrapped with 80-section tubeless tyres at both ends. Hero MotoCorp offers 130mm drum brakes for both wheels, with CBS (Combined Braking System) for added safety.
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec has a ground clearance of 165mm while having a 9.8-litre fuel tank. It has a kerb weight of 112kg.
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Key Features
The features which differentiate the Xtec variant from the standard version of the Hero Splendor are the full-LCD instrument console and LED DRL above the headlight. The orange-backlit console of the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec reads out the speed, fuel level, odometer, and even real-time mileage. This console supports Bluetooth connectivity for attending calls and SMS alerts. The bike is also equipped with an electric starter, a side-stand engine cut-off, alloy wheels, and an Idle Stop-Start System (i3S). i3S helps in enhancing mileage by switching off the engine when it idles for some time in traffic. The new Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 also gets hazard lights, an LED headlight, an H-shaped DRL (replacing the halogen headlight and DRL in its predecessor) and an H-shaped tail light.
    Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Rivals
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec takes on other 100-110cc commuter bikes like the TVS Radeon, Bajaj CT110X, and Honda Shine 100. At the same time, it competes with slightly more premium 110cc commuters like TVS Star City Plus, Honda Livo, Bajaj Platina 110, and Hero Passion Plus.
