Wow...restoring an engine by painting it. Silly me always buys all those new parts when rebuilding an engine. Really like this old, robust and easy to work on design.
It seems like those engines are very popular in your part of the world I would love to get my hands on one of them just because they're a throwback to a engine that Fairbanks Morris used to make a 100 years ago With a few modern updates done to them have an excellent day
@@Originalhaydn just my thought. They should have shown engine not even rotating. They just overpainted and reassambeled the engine. This is not restore video.
A little trick to keep the flywheel from flying off like that when you use the polar is to put the nut back on Maybe 2 or 3 threads and it won't fly Off it will stay on the tapered shaft but not stuck to it so you can pull it off easily with your hands once you'd loosen the nut off
@@restoration-restore-repair if it’s not too much trouble, could you show you guys inspecting the seals and where they ride, and the bearings, or show that you replace ones that are in bad shape, I think it would help the quality of the videos and a lot of people seem to not like that you don’t

O termo correto é limpeza e pintura , não restauração ! Não tocaram os rolamentos, não trocaram pistão, anéis ,camisa, elemento de bomba e bico injetor , não trocaram nem as juntas !!
Это не восстановление агрегата. Вы хотя-бы ради прикола измерительные приборы достали... Обычный чес. Не используется данамометрический ключ для оптяжки головки. Клапана не притерты... Можно продолжать без конечно.
So, take a working engine, dismantle it without cleaning, to ensure the crap is spread all over the important parts, damage the bearings, give it a slapdash paint job, then reassemble. I'd estimate a running life of about two hours after the botch. At least this time they used some gaskets which looked appropriate.

This is just a clean and assembled. Old seals, old bearings no honing and rings . Didn't restore anything just got it running again. Lol

It started and it did not blow blue smoke.....perfect.

As much engine restoration as you guys do and might be worth investing in a socket and a wrench that can get that nut off the flywheel

I’ve never seen a torque wrench on any of the builds of any size.
Guess they eyeballed the valve clearance. No feeler gauges needed
