Lots of fun little cuts, but my favorite is that you can shroom+hoptrick through the right side of the gazebo to cut the turn. Toad's Temple: This one is a crazy track - a lot of wacky tech and interesting stuff. Glad you found that top route cut. Lava Road: I think that your critiques are fair, but I will say that this update did improve it visibility-wise quite a bit - notably, the edges are now illuminated, which fixes the worst part of the old version (the cracks in the road were basically impossible to see). Fort Francis: Glad you liked this one! It's a quirky little track that's quite strong for frontrunning. You missed a little shroom shortcut after the u-turn. And yeah, that dungeon section opens lap 3. Sorry that bill nearly screwed NMeade, we missed that one during testing! XD Volcanic Skyway: The cut NMeade does at 15:54 is actually a smaller version of the main cut on the track, which you attempted lap 3! You want to shroom + bounce off the very right of the second mushroom - you had the right idea, just came up a tad short! As for why it's 3 laps, in the eyes of Bento and Metabus, who created this remake, the sheer scale and grandness of the VS environment was a core part of what they liked about the track, and they felt that it being a 3-lap trek was a key part of that. Though it does make the track one of the longest in the pack, there are just enough cool cuts and amazing sections that, IMO, player interaction stays good throughout the race and the race manages to be entertaining throughout. SNES Choco Island 2: This new version is awesome. Glad you showed off the trickable rail. Top 3 easter egg in CTGP. Darkness Temple: Another remake of a VERY old CTGP track. This remake was actually made by the OG creator, who is miraculously still around! This has a very similar cut to Volcanic Skyway, where you bounce off the last mushroom pad and land on a platform to the right! It definitely keeps a pretty large scale, which might even lead to the argument that it's overscaled, but it also makes the track a rare spear track and means that the layout remains quite friendly to new players, which is good at least. Melting Magma Melee: This was an update that did a lot of small things! It re-UV mapped the entire white road and smoothed it out a lot, which I was glad NMeade noticed. Other than that, it moved item sets around a lot and removed a shroomless cut on the big uphill section that comp was generally distasteful of. It also added an additional set to further help catchup. The track definitely still has its crazy skill issuey identity, but hopefully this update made a bunch of small Quality-of-Life changes that both comp and non-comp can enjoy. And don't worry - the cut still functions the same as always. Sahara Hideout: This was mainly a visual update, though it did move item sets around a bit to make the mid-section of each lap more eventful. As for its visual design, describing it as some "weird desert dream" is quite accurate - the track is inspired by the original Strobenz Desert tracks! As a result, to pay homage, Strobenz himself has the easy staff ghost here. The track remains a total competitive favorite, though I do see why it's not as well-liked among non-comp players. Siberian Chateau: Another visual update with some minor tinkers, not much to say here. Working hard to keep getting new updates and tracks out (as you well know from our conversations, haha). A lot of the tracks in the next few updates should be right up your alley, as many of the new ones were. Thanks for the video as always! 🤡

"Sahara Hideout has no theme" this is a direct quote from the author himself, in response to me asking how the glitchy textures fit: in relation to sahara, the "story" went along these lines when i was making it: the tracks initial state was normal, just set in a hot desert with some water springs around from hovering aquifers. some started noticing oddities around the area like small chunks of bricks suddenly cracking and revealing the glitchy sort of texture. to begin with they didnt think much of it, but as time went on more of it started to break through the walls and surroundings of the area. as it started to get quite severe, structures and small landmasses began to levitate upward towards the sky as a huge mass of lava from another land slowly glitched in and out of reality way above the track - with some structures eventually landing inside. dude to the glitchy nature of the lava above the track, the water from the aquifers didnt seem to interact and kept pouring down as normal creating this abnormal sight. as time went on, the volcano that was in the center of the island eventually erupted, turning what was once a sunny blue sky, into the dark & flashy one seen now. slowly but surely, more of the glitchy texture spread throughout the land, infesting its once natural landscape creating what is left of the track today enjoy sahara lore :)
Darkness Temple I remember best for appearing in one of Troy's older streams, where he struggled on that while talking with BigOto on Skype along with Sam
my favorite part of troy's relationship with nmeade is when he randomly and inexplicably gaslights him into believing there's a blue shell in the air or that he got first place when he actually got 3rd, only to reveal 15 seconds later that he was lying. I don't know why, but it's so funny to me

On that Super Paper Mario track. When you go off the boost panel where that ramp is 13:16 , if you go backwards you can see the creator of the track's dog. 🤭 Which is adorable.
And on the very next track, when you go off the clouds and onto the pyramid, if you go into the tunnel of the pyramid, go through the darkness and then turn right, you can find another picture of the profile picture of the creator of the track, I think.
For who don't know, like what it seems with Troy and NMeade, is that Toadette is in her Fire Form and probably seemingly throwing gigantic fireballs in the track Toadette's Castle. Nicely done little detail!

👎 It’s a blind inclined ramp into a bouncing mushroom section. Not really a fan since you’re just guessing if a mushroom can be used there. This isn’t an issue on base game tracks
