When it comes to electrolyte recovery, Gatorade vastly outweighs prime due to prime having little sodium

As a former EMT- THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. Sodium & potassium are SOOOO important for your muscles! I make Thai limeade during hot weather. It has a bit of salt, tastes like REALLY excellent Gatorade, & replaces what I need sweating all day. I supplement with Gatorade or Powerade. 😊❤

PRIME is actually worse for you as an electrolyte drink. He lied multiple times about the amounts of electrolytes that were in there when comparing it to other drinks, such as Gatorade.

I'm pretty sure they're all chock full of potassium and have the smallest amount of other electrolytes. To the point where they do nothing for you.
The potassium is to make it sweet so kids would buy it over other electrolyte drinks
@@pixels_per_minute It depends on what kind of potassium they're using, if it's Acesulfame potassium, then yes it's added as a sweetener (Ace-K is used as an artificial sweetener). If it's some other potassium salt as other sports drinks use, then it's being used for potassium's electrolytic properties and will not add any kind of sweetness.
That being said, Prime is horrible for kids and they shouldn't be drinking it frequently. Drinking too much of any kind of electrolyte based drink can actually throw off your sodium/potassium levels in your body, mess up the sodium/potassium pump used in the heart, and can even cause heart palpitations.

As someone who has worked in petfood for over four years in my past, my plant I worked at was rated for human grade consumption. Metal detector calibration checks ever hour (with epoxy rods encapsulating a small metal bb. The detectors are calibrated to 5% of the test rods, ferrous, stainless, and non-ferrous [brass, lead, nickel etc]), and weight calibration checks every 30 minutes. Either way the fact we were human grade certified, and operated the way we did made me realize how crazy manufacturing of foods is. Caleb is right. Literally on it all. Food mfg is crazy!

Like a lot of youtubers do still sell merch thats actually thought out, sponserships of course, or food like Oompa's candy or Jacksepticeyes coffee that theyre actually involved in but its becoming less and less common and a lot of people are starting to push products or sposerships that they clearly havent reasurched/dont care. You are hands down my favorite youtuber right now, I relate largely to your videos. I am a strange person, I've tried to be normal but I've just ended up accepting who I am after years of basically no progress. I've struggled with socializing because I have a similar if not 1:1 sense of humor to what you portray in your videos, which is a large part of how I communicate. Whether it is an act or exaggeration of your real personality, the videos you put out have helped me to gain confidence in being myself around others and has led me on to be largely successful in finding new friends and social groups. Your ability to be confident in your own wackiness, and your obvious ability to put yourself out there in a way to where if people like you they can but if they don't that's alright too, has really inspired me.

I feel like someone should mention that lead isn't the only toxic metal in foods, Cadmium is also harmful and Feastables have more than any other chocolate bar company. The amount of Cadmium in them is just about the legal limit at something like 89% of it.

So i don't think Logan is wrong when he is saying Primes electrolytes come almost entirely from potassium because i believe that it actually is pumped full of it BUT the issue is it is TOO MUCH potassium that it is useless. They put less sodium and magnesium in Prime to give it a "better taste" but it is useless for hydration compared to Gatorade

If more people took the ServSafe classes and got certified, they’d change the way they view food handling, production, distribution and service. I took it as a restaurant manager in my 20’s and it taught me so much, I’m paranoid about many things, especially storage and leftovers. 😒

The thing that makes me laugh is that they keep going on and on about electrolytes - very few kids need electrolyte drinks unless they’re playing for long hours in the summer or if they’re sick. The only sites that say kids need constant top ups are sites that sell electrolyte drinks. Even then, really those kids just need water 9 out of 10, not these weird products 😂
