    Very very helpful for future reference.... But one doubt... Please clarify..... In Condenser Water Pump system, do we need to calculate the friction losses for the pipes and fittings of the CONDENSER WATER RETURN (i.e., from the cooling tower to the chiller) as well.??? Or only the friction loss needs to be calculated from the chiller to the pump's suction and then from the pump's discharge to the cooling tower only...?? Please clear this doubt of mine

    Sir i have one question about the length of pipe. Because chilled water system have supply and return pipe,so we take both pipe for length. Example CWS pipe length 30 meter and return 32 meter , so total length is 62 meter

    Really appreciated your efforts ... but i have one confusion ........ why you have not taken vertical height head of 85 feet from basement (pump) to roof top (cooling tower) because it is open loop circuit & hence we have to consider vertical height head of 85 feet ( 85 feet is the height distance from basement to roof top).. can you plz explain???

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have explained in video. However, This is loop piping but open-loop. Here we have to take open height of water, from cooling tower bottom to top only.

    Very helpful, but only one confusion.. my question is that for straight vertical pipes.. there will be head loss due to height difference ...then where we will put this head loss in vertical pipes due to height difference in excel sheet..... example pump is at lower level & cooling tower is at higher level then there will be vertical straight pipe that connects both & in this case there is some head loss due to height difference ..... where we will put this head loss ..... just like condenser pumps are in basement & cooling tower is at roof top .. then in shaft there will be vertical pipe that connects condenser pump & cooling tower .... in this case there is head loss in vertical pipes in shaft due to height difference ... so where we will take this head loss in our excel sheet???

    Assalam o Allium Sir...can you plz explain why do v don't insulate condensate water line coming back from cooling tower to the condenser of the chiller

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  ปีที่แล้ว

      W.Salam, Because water temperature of that pipeline is high or near to atmosphere temperature therefore water does not condensate over the pipeline like drinking cold water glass🍷 💦

    • @ak-lr5jc
      @ak-lr5jc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TanweerAhmed okay Sir but the returning water is coming out of cooling tower where temperature drop has taken place, if we do not insulate the line which is carrying the cooled water from cooling tower (rooftop) to chiller (normally placed in basement) then during summer days, will not their be heat excahnge which will eventually result in cooling lose inside the CWS line?
