One of the things I liked about this show was listening to two dudes talking about their experiences with the retro games they grew up with and comparing their thoughts to the indie/ modern games of today, I loved that and it's a real shame it has to end so soon. I'm going to really miss this show.

This podcast is one of the best things Screenwave has ever done. It’s a refreshing and simple concept. Talking about two different games with some occasional asides about hardware or whatever. Not getting too bogged down in industry stuff. It’ll be missed.
I especially liked the episodes where Ryan would tackle a modern game and Mike would present something from the old days. It made for such an interesting show.
Comments about their Patreon and overall sudden exit seem to be vanishing at a good speed.

I feel like this crew never understand their audience. There's tons of "lets play" channels. However there aren't many geared towards an older crowd that just wants to recreate that feeling of a couple of buddies sitting on a couch, talking and playing video games. I had that feeling when they talked about old movies, with james and mike, and this kinda brought that back a bit. One by one they've killed them all off because they arent profitable. Well thats kinda the problem, you arent doing it because you enjoy it. I've been around this crowd for a long time and I hate to be part of the other crowd, but I'm gonna be real apprehensive towards any new projects you start. Hate the podcast set, love ya Mike!

This is exactly why I wont bother with their projects anymore. They wont stick stuff out for the passion of it, its gotta make money right away. They even admit they did it for their own enjoyment and then wonder why there were not more viewers.

Shit doesn't happen overnight man. I wish y'all were a lil more transparent about this pod. I think if we all knew that this pod wasn't gonna stay around if u didn't hit certain numbers, we as listeners prob woulda streamed on phone, laptop, & xbox's (etc.) all at the same time to get u guys xtra numbers & views.
I didn't think I would see as much genuine chemistry tween two guys like this since "Jame's-&-Mike Monday's". Ryan's technical side breakdowns & Mike's streaming prowess was a great treat to hear. Especially when u guys went off the rails.
In business, year 1 is almost always a wash cause ur setting the bar, cause in year 2 of "said" business being open u have year 1 to compare to & therefore adjust the budget.
Maybe Im just being selfish but I really enjoyed this pod. I rarely ever write in the comments, but that's how upset this got me. I understand u guys are busy, but none of us asked for this pod, but u gave it to us & we enjoyed it. We also didn't ask for it to be weekly. I'd accept 1 pod every 2 weeks or even once a month.
So here I am just got home from work, knew it was Friday so I throw on the pod, start fixing dinner for myself. I hear the intro song, hear the news but still thought there was gonna be a last episode in here, but instead y'all just drop the ACME anvil on our heads then I hear the outtro music?! Like WTF?? Why even wait till Friday to drop the news like it was gonna be a regular full length pod. What a damn shame man.

@@kuruptein I think they’re quick to pull the plug nowadays if they don’t get the numbers and feedback they want. Can’t blame them when both of them of multiple things going on. I think they should’ve been less obscure with some of their game picks or have the viewers/listeners chime in with a particular genre or system every once and a while.

I still feel like with 16k subs over 700 comments in this video alone; I mean it’s not an enormous amount in comparison to some channels but that’s hardly failing. Hopefully going through this comment thread can spark a bit of enthusiasm back into the show for you guys. Just reading through how many people loved this show it’s just kind of sad. I feel like the show was just growing comfortably into itself.

Please release the Patreon-only videos. I don't think we deserve this, but it would be a cool gesture. I can understand that you guys need to quit, but my gut feels like this was a dirty send-off. Maybe it was the tone and brevity of the video.
