I know some people have left comments about how you take your time looking at things. I just want to thank you for doing so I love actually joining your journey. I love how you pay attention to detail and how you truly look for deals that you can then share with us. It’s so frustrating to watch a video and it scan over things so quickly that you can’t take it in, so don’t feel rushed . know that those of us who subscribe Love being part of the journey and getting to shop and see things that we would not otherwise be able to see😊
Oh my goodness! Harleen, I am so glad you picked up that pot metal horse and said that it came as a carnival prize. I have one that I have had since I was two or three years old, and I had a very very vague memory of my Uncle handing to me and it’s weight. As soon as you said that the memories came flooding in. I remembered standing with my uncle as he won it for me, and the funny thing is every time I go to a carnival or a fair and smell those smells I always picture that horse in my head and I did not know why , well now I do. Thank you thank you thank you.😁❤
You are the epitome of patience, Harleen! I can’t believe these people who just reach in front of you while you are shopping. It’s so unbelievably rude!
The Art Institute Of Chicago the gem of the city. My favorite place to visit try to go at least once a year. We were able to see Salvador Dali exhibit when they had it stunning absolutely stunning!!!
Salvador Dali is one of my fave modern artists, esp of the surreal artists...but he did some realist works too. The way he could show light and shadow is absolutely amazing. I used to live in Florida near Tampa. There is a Salvador Dali Museum in nearby St. Petersburg that has a large number of his best works and at least two of his large masterworks. I do think he was a genius and unlike some other modern art, you can really see the artistic gifts and skill he had. Def worth the visit if you're ever down that way!
@@nancyloomis3046 that is going to be on my list of things to see I did not know there was a museum in Florida. I love his works. It was amazing to see so many pieces all at once in Chicago. It really is such a great art museum you 2 to 3 days to really enjoy the whole thing thing.
Hi Pickers!👋 what an awesome Adventure we are having. I was wondering if your suitcases got checked due to some odd shapes and heavy metals. I rem when we had a convention in LV and Partylite gave us all the huge lead crystal ball shaped candle holders. They stopped ladies leaving town all day. I stayed a day extra and the lady at tsa called over her Mgr. and she said, You're one of those candle ladies arent ya,? I thought you all left town yesterday. You're good, let her go!
I very much enjoyed this video and I didn't realize how many vintage items are available at Wolf's Flea Market!! I live twenty minutes from it, and ought to drive over to peruse it. It could be a costly trip and I have boxes of depression glass and collectibles that I want to sell! I'm not sure I could withstand a flea market vendor's table although it looks like there is much foot traffic. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us on YT!!
I know I've said this before, but I don't like it when there aren't prices on what people are selling. It's like they make up a price according to how much money they think a customer has. Then jack it up double of what they actually would accept. But I do enjoy your shopping journey's.
Wow....I have to admit....I haven't seen your vids for a while, but so glad you showed up on my feed....(I'm subscribed to LOT of channels.) I really enjoyed this video and thanks, Will, for the quick tours of the art museum 🏛 (my hubs & I live near DC and love museums and vey fortunate to have a lot to choose from,) and then the architectural tour by 🛥boat! We want to do some road trips 🚙 in the very near future and I'll be sure to put Chicago on our list of places to visit. And then you got some great finds (great picking Harleen)🤩 that are not too big to carry home on the plane. 😉✈Best of luck on your muscle 💪 car fund, Gary! Hope you always have safe travels too! Thanks for taking us on your journey!
I recently took a trip to Lancaster, Philadelphia and I bought the most beautiful paperweight at an antique mall there. There was no way I was packing that in my luggage to check in. I had it in my backpack and as I was going through check in, I was pull aside to find out what it was. Of course, I had it wrapped in several layers of paper and bubble wrap. The agent looking at the x-ray thought it was a rock and I said oh no it’s a paperweight!
Amber jewelry reacts under UV light. It's how you can tell if it's amber, plastic, or glass. The amber will turn an Opaque milky brownish orangish color.
since you are finding some one of a kind items maybe you can ship them Fedex to Danni since you aren't home. at least it may be a way to get some of those bigger special items. I've had the best food at all the Hard Rocks I've ever been to. thanks for all the fun today! In your retirement Will you need to be a historian tour guide!!
Wolf's flea. At Allstate Arena near O'Hare. By 4 am all true pickers have been through the market. Arrive anytime after 2am to shop. Chicago antique pickers are really intense.
So......the weight issue works great for declining a purchase, but you know you can ship all your items back home in a carefully packed USPS box at a reasonable cost. Have USPS hold the package at your destination hub. You also can utilize family or a neighbor to receive your package. I spent many a afternoon selling at that market years ago. I am on the same side of the table as you folks are now.
Oh............. Gary should drop the coin on that Muscle car now. Trying to save up for a purchase like that is pure anxiety. These cars are jumping 10- 15% or more every year. It may be easier to pay at the car if you keep the total sum of the purchase as " tight" as possible, with the purchase & loan on the car. Making up to a $500 payment a month, could be easier than waiting to earn the entire "nut". You will be able to freeze the initial cost of the car, and find items to cover the loan, on the car. If you fall behind or the novelty of owning that car wears off, drive it with a for sale? Sign on it. Also consider your family as co- signers, or co- owners to get it paid off sooner.
Technically, ohare is on chicago property and that's next door. I mean, she's just a few miles out. Not like she's at Kane County Fjea Market or something.

Oh my goodness! I would sit with that fish on my lap too! It is absolutely stunning! I cannot believe you got it for such a good price!🐠
One of my favorite places the Art Museum. That flea market looked so fun. You guys are killing it.

I live in a Chicago suburb and go to that flea market on Sundays. It's fun, and I know many of the vendors. 😂
Where is this flea market at?

Harlene I am so happy when you pick pieces of jewelry I have. Bye Chigo 😊
Good picking in the Windy City and I really liked the ruby candle holders.

Just make a note, that Wolf's flea market is not in Chicago, it is in the suburbs, called Rosemont.
Gary don’t forget to check marbles to glow.

I live near Corning Glass Museum and watched had they make paper weights ! I love the skill of glass blowing !
@@evelynealfieri9396 That is on my bucket list. The artistry is amazing!
Great views of the City.

Love your content...and your fun banter
When this market take place time and day
Great place, but it gets so crowded, and parking is rough.
Another fun video 😊
Great finds!!
Where is that by, I live near chicago?
Chicago fun

That’s far from being in Chicago. It’s better to say exactly where it is and not false advertise that it’s in Chicago because it’s not.
