Daryl, you make it look so easy! I've been fixing my 9-volt wires for a couple of years now, but you shown me how to replace them completely. Thanks so much! 🦈🦈🦈
This is pretty much exactly the way I replaced my cable a few months ago. My daughter has been putting my old 4559 Cargo Railway through it's paces ever since and I have had zero issues. Do this people! Don't spend way too much trying to find new/working cables on bricklink.
What you are reffering to is called a ferrite or choke. To give you a basic explanation, it is a filter to prevent interferance with wifi signals and its not needed to use the device. Worst case scenario, and rarely happens, is you may notice a small hum of background noise on a radio without it.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I don't have the machine to check continuity so I don't know where the problem comes from. Might have any suggestions ? Thanks alot
Off subject question here. I know sunlight discolors Lego. Does anyone know if storing Lego in high temperature (like a garage in summer) damages Lego? I have a lot of sets in boxes in the garage. Any feedback is appreciated. Love your channel!
Thanks, as for Lego storage, it should not cause discolor, but I have seen in extreme heat the pieces getting warped. I've even seen minor metling occur if stored in extremely hot attics with poor ventilation. A garage should not get to the temps needed to damage it unless you live in places like Arizona with extreme heat.

Hahaha, yeah those wires can be a real pain in the rear. But they arnt to bad to do. Its best to just replace them with new wire like this.
What a perfect tutorial video. A+
An easy way to never lose your screws is to use a basic magnet to hold them.

Agreed this is the most affordable option.
Nice Tutorial 💪
Thanks
Perfect tutorial! Since the second (ending) brick does not need both polarity, why can't we leave just one wire? We could save some space.
You could yes, but the way the piece is designed it was made to allow for both all the way thru
Great tips there, I use that switch wire at work 👍
Thanks, thats perfect so you already have some 😀
You cut out that little black round box near the end. What does that do?
In the video 00:05 in the original cable but you skip it in the new one

Hoping to do this over Christmas! Is there an alternative wire you recommend ? The one linked won’t deliver until later in January.

Thanks for sharing. It is a problem indeed. Also have a motor which stopped working. Even though barely used.
Your welcome, and lack of use is a bad thing for motors. Next time I get a bad motor I will try and document how to repair them.

I am solder a rip off utp kabel on the rails and use a h-bridge for speed control
Nice tuturial
I have a way to make a speed control just not sure people would like it. As I install everything in a 2x4 box.
Awesome
Hi Rob, thanks 😊
This is useful for trpairing my old Lego train set.
Glad to hear it, the wire being dry rotted is a very common issue sadly.
@@BevinsBricksWorld i got to try to fix mine. its from the 1993, Express Train set.
