Iceland volcano captured from a plane | ABC News

Passengers on a flight bound to Kevlavik Airport southwest of Iceland's capital Reykjavik were treated to a spectacular sight as a volcano spewed fountains of lava and smoke.
The eruption, which occurred on the Reykjanes Peninsula in south-western Iceland, marks the volcano's seventh eruption this year and the tenth in three years, the country's meteorological office said.
While the eruption poses no threat to air travel, authorities warned of gas emissions across parts of the peninsula including the nearby town of Grindavík.
Experts have warned that the area is likely to experience repeated volcanic outbreaks for decades, possibly even centuries.
