    Beautiful guitar bro, I was eyeing this one a while back but went with the Ibanez YY10 Yvette Young Signature Talman instead. Still, this also seems to have a good worshipful tone, I'm glad you got it and so we're able to hear it in a way that more worship artists would use it. I don't care for push-pull knobs much which is my only critique. Still, very cool and interesting way, especially how you put your own knobs which imo, made it look so much better. Thanks!

      Thank you! Yeah, I think it’s one of those guitars that you need to try before making a decision on. It’s surprisingly good and extremely versatile.

    Had my hss for 3 years and 5 months now and it's an amazing guitar, holds tune stupidly good, the trem is quite nice, pickups sound great although I might put a humbucker in the neck. I mostly play metal, mostly hair, metalcore, thrash, a bit of grunge, pop and rock and it manages to handle all kinds of genres. For the price, it's really worth it, the amount of guitar you get is just great and fair. I only wish it was a bit lighter lmao.

    Hey, nice Video! I had the same issue with the trem and changed it for a Gotoh 510TS-FE1. It feels better, there is more tuningstability and because of the steelblock it has more sustain and gets more alive! Now i love that thing so much!

      It’s definitely cool. Though I will say, I am more of a “vintage” guy and this guitar is a lot more “modern”. But still really good!

    Great review. I have owned one for a year. Overall a great guitar, and yes beautiful clean tones, and the neck is amazing for a guitar at this price point. Only negative for me is some static on the pickguard when the single coils are engaged, likely because it isn’t shielded, or properly shielded (easily fixed though). People also need to be wary of the X-jumbo frets. If you have never played a guitar with them, they will take some getting used to. It’s not a bad thing, just different.

    JC, Great observation on the whammy mount. My Am-Pro Jazzmaster has the screw-in mount and I wondered if that's the best solution. After hearing your comments regarding the liabilities of having the allen key type adjustment, I'm more of a fan of the tech on my J-master, now.

    I just bought mine used last month .It' was about 449.99 used .I originally put it on layaway and put
    115.00 down for it plus I sold a bass and placed what I got towards the guitar.Wound up paying 258.00 plus 30.00 for a gig bag.There was a slight mod as the previous owner put a hot rail in the neck position.Glad Schecter produced this and the Van Nuys as the Japanese BH and SDs are little but more in the Stratosphere price wise.

    There is another model which I am not too sure is available worldwide or more for the Italian market? It is called the Route 66 (and a bunch of City names to tell the colours apart?) - I can't find ANY documentation on that model but seems to be very very similar to the Nick Johnston signature models but with "proper" inlays (pearloid dots) and the 'better' Pasadena pickups

    This is a poor mans Suhr and blows away anything Fender makes including their Custom Ripoff models. Mine is easily on par with my PRS S2 Standard as far as quality is concerned and I didn't have to break out my files to level the frets like I have every Fender Strat I've owned. Schecter is giving some serious value here and these are easily one of the best super strats out there.

    I bought one too and like it a lot. However, I have had loads of trouble with static and general electrical noise from the guitar. Crackling every time I touch the Trem arm etc. I had to send it back twice and it's still not right. I think I just lucked out though, I'm sure in most cases they are good. It does sound good and is great to play, just got stop the noise!!!!

    I own this guitar and I love it, however I did upgrade few stuff that I'd say are worth it :)
    -gotoh bridge
    -ratio gear locking tuners
    -graphite string tree
    Those 3 improved beyond expectations tuning stability and the whammy bar is so much better in the gotoh system.

    How often are you push/pulling?...no one I know that has been playing for years would use it much.

    • @JCruzProject
      @JCruzProject  ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally not very often. I use this guitar more for the “S-Style” sound. So cleans in the 2 and 4 position. However I will say I prefer a traditional 4 position, so I will split the coil when using it that way.

  • @vince8081
    @vince8081 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you want to keep the traditionnal fender look for the knobs, just put a push/push pot, not a push/pull.

    • @stratolestele7611
      @stratolestele7611 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Confused with this. Why would you need to use a push-push switch in order to use stock knobs?
      Push-push pots tend to be more finicky. Push-pull are generally more durable and you don't have to have the knob sitting kind high off the pickguard.
