    One thing I will mention that may help as well (this is hard to notice from the right seat) is that it appears he has the checklist in the window right where you should be looking when doing power on stalls to prevent a wing from dropping. It may be easier for him to see which way the nose is falling if the checklist wasn't there. Overall, though, great video and I really like seeing how you teach stalls to students that are more timid, being a new CFI myself!

Although in a techam golf I realise now there very mellow to other aircraft but still all of your flight training was teaching you not to stall then you go against everything and force a stall! Hi guys,
    Loving the channel. As a new student pilot these videos are invaluable.
    I have begun to start recording my own Go Pro sessions as revision for myself and found them very useful.
    However, I would like to add a second camera and wanted to ask what editing software you used to produce your videos please? Go Pro is a new thing to me and I have little/no experience with them.
    Please, please keep the videos coming. It is great to have a lesson then come back to your videos to recap and go through them at my leisure...the 'fun' element is brilliant and would be so relaxing when in the sky! 👍
    Well done all

    I remember on my checkride I had to re-do the stall because the first time I was too gentle with the controls, had the yoke right in my stomach and just ended up in a kind of falling leaf situation, but not falling enough to notice... Those PA28s really don't want to stall! A bit of faster pull (but not too fast) did the job the second time!

    • @LewDixAviation
      @LewDixAviation 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      That's what I find with a lot of students. Whether it is their reluctance to pull back or if they think they have it pulled back more than they actually do, I don't know. It does take a lot to stall the PA28.

    I just took my second lesson. We did stalls and the instructor let me do it before he showed me how because "you've done so good so far". Well...even though I have immersed myself in what to do, I ended up planting the nose to the ground (about -2G's) and then oscillated before handing the controls to him. It has really shaken my confidence. IS THIS NORMAL?

    • @jeremyallard2472
      @jeremyallard2472 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi i’m a flight instructor i see a lot of cases where the student comes into short final with too much speed causing the aircraft to “float” just make sure you have a stabilized approach with the speed undercontrol!

    • @jacbob5824
      @jacbob5824 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes student pilot here and same thing. Too high and fast on base and final was causing this. And then being a little to forceful with the flare. When rounding out think, sink, slight back pressure, more sink, more back pressure. Let the plane land itself, don't try force it

      If your eye glasses have really thick arms it may cause problems. If they are pretty thin, glasses aren't that uncomfortable. By law if you wear contacts while flying you still need glasses on board just in case.
