darn you! re-watched 3 times! Saw nothing obvious! ;) --- I did see red paint lines on the gravel but otherwise nada! and you were moving that floor cleaner! Guess I will see when others do :) ---- o0o maybe a timeout corner cage for Riley if he messes up the new shop :)

That storage system is awesome! I really hope that my wife does not see it, because she would order one for our garage and get rid of my garage organization. You just need to put labels on each cabinet to find stuff.

Decking out, finishing touches, organizing, "prettying it up" , whatever you want to call doing to your place is one of the most enjoyable, slightly frustrating jobs there is. I am a compulsive re-organizer so I would be in heaven with that storage system.

Watching you lift the heavy table top my wife and I at the same time, “YOU HAVE A FORK TRUCK” or at least a skid steer with forks. My wife reminds me all the time that we have machinery to work smarter and not harder. Love your Content and your Journey, good to see the baby also.

On another note, you guys are a perfect example of a couple that gives and takes 50/50. The way you work out the differences says a lot about your dedication to the family unit. I think we can all learn from you guys. I myself think that my wife and I are also 50/50 but I am still the boss in the end...LOL. I had to throw that in.....She does the money stuff so really, I think she's the boss...hahaha

Stop into Tractor Supply or similar place and see if they have a DIY barn door set up, may give you some ideas on how to work the hanging wheels. You might be able to double the rails to increase the weight capacity Also. Hope to see what you come up with!

When I store stuff in containers I try to get the clear ones with flat sturdy tops so you can stack them.
The clear helps me find what I'm looking for along with Dymo stick on labels on the same place on each side and the lid.
That way no matter which way I put it back in the stack I'm looking at a label.
If it is on the floor with the lid on the label tells me what is in the bin.

You should really really bolt the rack to the floor. Even with the amazing stability it may have with all the weight, I've seen bigger racks fail when, for instance, bumped by a Fenwick. Safety first, secure the rack ! Amazing work. :)

What I wouldn’t give to have a storage system like Levrack in our garage! I am excited about how all your projects will become easier and faster when you don’t spend so much time rummaging through totes and looking for tools. Reduces the stress! I love it when companies see a way for you to endorse their product and install it. Target marketing is always preferred over throwing an ad into the atmosphere hoping the right people see it. And, sometimes you have to stop and solve a problem before moving on. The road, the road, the road.👷‍♂️

The Levracks are awesome … I am very envious 😕
After doing an owner build on my current home I have come to learn the building code quite well. The stair case in the shop absolutely needs a hand rail! I watched Courtney walk down the stairs with Oliver and cringed 😮. A nice hand rail bolted to the wall would be a quick fix👍🏼👍🏼

  • @thinkfirst6431
    @thinkfirst6431 ปีที่แล้ว

Looks like Interlake pallet racking. I have about 50 leaner feet of it in my shop with 11 feet high uprights I cut out of 22' uprights I got used from a warehouse. You can put racking up by yourself if you are strong enough. Put the first upright against the end wall at a slight angle. Determine the spacing of your cros s bars, I put the first level at about 13" off of the ground so that you can shove heavy items under the bottom cross bar in the dead space. Starting in the back put the first cross bar on the bottom position on the upright that you have standing against the wall. Then put the second upright in place and using the cross bar as a lever pull the bar down, which will cause the first upright to straighten, to and then connect the cross bar to the second upright. What you now have is somewhat unstable so quickly install the first level front cross bar in place. Then install the second level back bar then the front bar. Once the first and second level are installed the section is stable. I use plywood or OSB as shelving across the cross bars with 2X3's or 2X4's as cross supports under the plywood or OSB. Most cross bars will have a notch in the inside edge which will take a 1 1/2" thick piece of wood, cut to the width of the beams inside the notch to notch, to hold the 2 by and be level with the top of the beam. Make the shelf on the second level then use it to stand on to put up the 3rd and 4th level crossbars up back to front. Make the 4th level shelf and use it to install the 5th and 6th level depending on how high you are going. The section can roll over to the side so if you can tie off the top of the uprights until you get them in place and bolted to the floor. The wider the uprights are the more stable they will be. 24" is look out below, 48" is a lot more stable.
Now that you have 1 section up the next section(s) are easier and safer. Install the bottom back cross bar which should stick out straight more or less then place the next upright in place and connect the cross bar. Install the front first cross bar. Repeat the above steps as you go up.
Before the installed racking gets too heavy scoot it around into its final place before installing more uprights and cross bars. Keep the uprights inline with each other and when done MAKE SURE to install good floor anchors into the upright pads sitting on the floor. The rack and contents will be heavy so use concrete anchors that go down into the concrete at least 4-6 inches depending on how high and how loaded the rack is based on the anchor manufactures recommendations.
DO NOT try this at home.

Hello, you two. Courtney, Oliver started putting his hand in his mouth because his teeth are coming out. That's the reason why he'll be crying. What do I suggest you do for him? Buy him a tube or whatever it is of Ambesol for babies. This will lessen the pain of those teeth while they cut his gums. After they come out of those two gum, you won't need to buy it anymore.

I had to assemble 15' pallet rack like this....all by myself. I did have a tow motor, rolling staircases, and repurposed melamine board for decking. I tit almost break my upper arm and suffered many minor injuries (death of a thousand cuts). I wouldn't worry about floor anchors if you keep heaviest things off the top tier.

Much rather see content about doing stuff on a budget than doing things with really expensive stuff you get discounted or free that the average person can't afford. Perhaps you just get a nice solid shopping bag e.g. thole like the ones from IKEA made from those big bag material and just drop it over as a cover. If you want the display scratch free line it inside with some cheap blanket material or fabric. Hope this helps giving the electronics more lifetime. Greetings from Germany
