He would smile and blush a little.
Awe what a special and beautiful memory you have of your sweet grandfather I never knew mine or my grandmother. But that's okay I know I'll get to see them and be with them when we are all in heaven on that final day 😇💞🙏♥️🎶🌌

I have the purple one, I was lucky enough to find a brand new one in the box at my local used bookstore and I paid less that 25 for it. I love it and look forward to many years of use

I continue to be impressed with this Bible. I got one in the leathersoft to see whether I wanted to step up to premium Bibles. And to be honest, they do so much right with this that aside from art gilding on the pages, I can't see where the upgrades would be. Personally I find the paper great. It's soft but it's easy to turn, it's bright white and it's opaque so there's very little show through. The drop caps are gorgeous. At first I thought every design was the same, but if you look closely it's not. Every letter is unique. The font is fantastic and easy to read. The footnotes define plenty of archaic terms (although I'm discovering that I don't really like notes in the footer and I would prefer them on the side or in the center column, personally). The whole thing is very well laid out, which again enhances readability. The only thing missing here in my opinion is a general introduction. I think the Bible would have benefited from having one. Just to explain the features and the reference system and how certain numbers are bolded to signify the start of a paragraph. New readers such as myself wouldn't know that without going to TH-cam and watching reviews. I also think they probably should have included the "translators to the reader" portion or a Bible dictionary as well. But otherwise for anywhere between $30 and $60 depending on what edition you get, this is pretty amazing. I know plenty of people will say the quality isn't as good because it's printed in China, But as far as the book block is concerned, any improvement between the European printed and China printed would be marginal at best I think. The paper can even handle a fine nib fountain pen. I can't ask for much more, personally.
You bring up a good point. I'd take these China printed bibles any day than the crap quality Thompson chain bible that's printed and produced in the USA.
This will be a great Bible to have. A note on the introductions. Those are standard Thomas Nelson introductions. I have other KJV and NKJV Bibles by Thomas Nelson and the introductions read the same. They are good introductions, containing fairly detailed information in such a short space.
I don't own many TN Bibles I only have 2 in my whole collection. So this is the first time I've ever read introductions from this Publisher. Which I found to be amazing and like you mentioned with the space given

Also Cat, the Thomas Nelson Bible in your video is similar to my Thomas Nelson Giant Print Bible(although yours is a higher quality than mine even though my Bible is lifetime guaranteed).

This Bible reminds me of Dominoes vs Mom and Pop pizza. This Bible makes me think of corporate generic vs Schuyler bible. I want to want this Bible but I'm not impressed.
I like Thomas Nelson, but I can't get behind this one from them. It's almost a blatant ripoff of the Canterbury. The subheadings are the same. The text even breaks in the same place quite often, even down to the hyphen after the same letter.
I believe it's amazing for those who have wanted a $200-$300 dollar Bible now they have a chance to own one for themselves. Obviously they won't receive exactly what Schuyler puts out. With that amazing Goatskin skin leather that softens up over time. Or the 11point font on Royal Youngblood paper. They won't have the three 3' thick amazing ribbons either. Schuyler is one of a kind and no one can take that away but...but you also have to pay a lot for it. And during this crisis right now with soooo many people still having no jobs. I believe it's the perfect time to help uplift their spirits with a beautiful Bible that they can afford and it will most definitely help strengthen their spiritual walk. That's what important here anyways. Getting beautiful Bible's into even the poorest person hands. You shouldn't have to spend a whole lot of money in order to own a beautiful Bible. You're very mistaken if you think the Publishers don't talk behind the scenes too. (JUST SAYING) 😊👍

Does translators notes mean defining archaic words? I'm mostly a KJV guy but I still get tripped up ok some words and they would be very convenient.

It's pigskin it's stiff but as you seen really losses up beautifully which is really good and not so cheap
