In todays video I’m going to be working on resetting my bedroom. I was gone out of town and had a super busy weekend and now I have stuff all over my bedroom. So I’m going to get everything picked up and do some bedroom cleaning.
Then I have a couple of house updates to share with you and I’ll be doing some really satisfying outdoor cleaning. I finally got a power washer (at the end of last year) and we will be putting that to use 😍

We got a malti-poo at the shelter and her hair is like Clark's. Everything is stuck in there and whatever she eats is on her face. I had no idea she was going to be so high maintenance, but we lover her so very much.
I painted my pink flamingo ornament on my front porch and got a new welcome mat and garden flag with a pink flamingo. Just enough not too much. It looks so nice and puts a smile on my face when I come home.

The first time I was in D.C. I was in awe (I moved to Maryland with my ex who was in the Navy). It was the same when I saw N.Y. and Boston. I’ve lived the majority of my life on the West Coast, and really loved seeing the cities I’d only read about, or saw in movies or on T.V.

One of the first times I used a new power washer my sister, her two kids, and my daughter all wanted to help use it. It was like a party. It was even better because it was kind of windy and then it started to drizzle but we kept going. Everyone was wet from the drizzle and the power washing, but we all had fun!

Power washing takes a lot of patience. Use a sprayer like for weeds and pre treat with cleaner. We use a mix of outdoor bleach and simple green. Let it sit a 5-10 minutes then power wash.

I spent a week in hospital with sepsis, pneumonia etc 🤕 so my biggest project is restoring some strength and healing I guess.

Loved the family power washing day ❤😂 we used to power wash our patio deck/vinyl siding walls every May, but our condo replaced decks 2 years ago & were not allowed to power wash any more. 😢 yuck. Now I have to stand on a chair & wash outside walls by hand. Such a big job 😢 power washers are the best 😅

They have an attachment that is about 25.00 for your power washer it is called a surface cleaner you can have the drive way done in an hour

My husband uses a small block of wood to hold the handle down on the pressure washer. Also you can get a scrubber for doing bigger projects.

Put those piles of wood on Craig’s list to try to sell or on the free section. If you can get someone else to take it away who wants it that might help bring down your tree bill a little bit.
I just finished yard work and power washing! I love powerwashing😂! Congrats to Violet, though she doesn’t know, really. Good job covering the extras! Hm. Maybe you should do some extra security walks at night, maybe Clark is guarding against something. My little dog has a mass of hair. I find all kinds of stuff in it😂.

I've been doing some pressure washing this season as well. This year I bought a pressure washer surface cleaner attachment for my pressure washer this year for my driveway and sidewalk area and it cut the time it took to pressure wash our driveway and sidewalk in half. I highly recommend them if you decide to finish pressure washing your driveway.

That is an AMAZING price for the tree removal . Just the front alone would be 5k or more here . Better safe to remove now then have any fall on thier and cause damage.
I thought it was an amazing price too! Yes they have needed to come down for a long time and we’ve been avoiding. We’ve had 2 trees fall during storm and thank goodness they didn’t damage anything
Glad you made it out of DC safe. Lived just outside that area for 25 years and it's only safe during the day and most recently, not even then. ☹ I still commute to that area though and can't wait until that ends in a few years.

Renee from Welcome to My Curls also power washed her driveway last summer with a round surface cleaner attachment (Amazon) that connects to the power washer. It makes the process go much faster! We also have a long driveway so I’m going to order one. I believe the cost was around $80.00. If you also have a big driveway, it might be something to consider!

Funny cause we went to D.C. for April vacation and when we came back our TV was dead lol everything looks great Jodi! We've been pretty busy as well with the yard. We decided to refinish our patio dinning set instead of buying a new one and boy it's been alot of work 😅 but it's looking good and we saved money!

Love power washing everything in sight. I have a gas powered pressure washer and I was doing the patio around the pool and I look over just as the washer is falling into the pool. Yelled for my husband and he comes up and says where is the washer? I pointed to the deep end of the pool. He pulled it out, changed the oil 4 times and I was back in business in an hour. He never lets me forget it. 😂😂😂😊

Did miss you last week glad you had a good time. Power washer is a lot of fun..last yr I was doing the side if my house and the power washer kicked back at me I had a huge bruise. I should of checked before it was passed to me the attachment was not tightened so they can be dangerous. You are getting lots done good job❤

Please get Clark a good shave, his fur is prone fore matting and that really hurts your boy. Important parts are his belly, sanitary parts, paws and pawpads, armpits and around his snout. If the matting gets too tight it can even cause bruising 😳
And if you want to keep his put this long, he will need daily brushing. A lot of maintenance, I bet Gus was way easier 😃

For my washer I do have kind of a rotating brushhead, that makes driveways way easier and faster to clean. Will take you about 30 minutes for all 14 squares 😉 maybe 60 if all of you get their squares..

Gus shed terrible!! Like so bad there was hair everywhere no matter what.
Clarke no shedding but requires regular grooming. I think brushing him regularly is easier than trying to clean hair up constantly 😂

We recently got a pressure washer, and we love it! We have been cleaning the outside of the house, weeding, washing cars, and got the deck decorated for the season. We are in New York state, so it is a short season here too.

Yes great weather here in Texas, i pressured wash my porch, huge driveway and the sidewalk. We also did our fence and a lot of our neighbors stopped by to tell us how good it looked! It can be hard work but the outcome is so worth it! So glad you are back Jodi💖

We just did our driveway and sidewalks and I couldn't believe how dirty ours were either! It is so satisfying to watch someone power wash and watch the dirt come right off lol!

I love your videos. I live in northern Maine. We are having beautiful weather here now. However that can change quickly here. We get high winds and loose electricity. The price for living out in the woods surround by pine trees. So quite here. Love it.

Not that you need it but the next time your in Lowe’s or (hardware store) check out the attachments for a power washer. They have a drive way scrubbing tool it will save you a ton of time. My husband has been planting a vegetable garden for us. I bought them, but I certainly don't have a green thumb. He does and he loves it. So, Sunjoe makes some soap to use with your power washer. I have the same exact one, and I find that the soap is very effective at getting things cleaner the first time around. Like, the soap will help lessen the overall spray time, and will really help bust that old dirt away faster. I also use the Simple Green total outdoor use(It's called something like that) because it has Oxyclean in it, and it works so well.

New subscriber, so hello Jodi! Fellow Michigander and the weather the last several days has been great! We live close to Metro Airport in a bungalow home so our yard is smaller but doing all things outdoors has been fabulous 😁

You are about an hour south of me. Yes our weather basically went from winter to summer 😂 and I’m soaking it all up 🌞
The cost of tree removal depends on the type of tree and if they have to use a lift/bucket truck to get to the top. I had a tree removed and it cost $250 because they were able to do it from the ground.
Hi, Jodi 👋. As we go through week 3 of repair on the 🏠 I have been able to start going through some things I haven't been able to do & get to....threw out a giant heavy duty black trash bag of stuff. Organized the 🚗 supplies, spray paint cans & other misc. Spray cans, all my tools and various household different things for repairs etc and found all the screws, wood and metal all sizes, nut, bolts & washers all sizes that I couldn't find. They need more sorting but for now everything is labeled & binned or bagged up so I can find it... plumbing ( kitchen bathroom & various), electrical, baby proofing....all that. Used only what I have. I know I have more tools & supplies in at least 4 more places but until I can access those they are staying where they are.
Today will be monthly fridge wipe down before getting groceries... already took the cauliflower tortilla/pizza blanks, mustard greens that I accidentally thawed instead of moving to kitchen freezer, cheese shreds, sliced finely onions and leftover baked chicken...and made a lunch "fridge clean out" casserole.
That trip was definitely an adventure. You got a lot done that weekend and good for you giving hubs back his stuff!!!

Outside. Yes. This morning I used day 3 of rain to go out & get my 2 rhubarb plants in the ground while still in the pots to keep #1son from mowing over them.

It's amazing how getting 1 thing no matter how small done---no matter how bad I feel - can make the next day feel better. I am addicted to power washing-so satisfying. Clark definitely needs a lovely summer haircut. My dog is so happy after getting groomed and having her belly shaved. Much cooler for her.
I got his belly and back of his legs shaved today. Hopefully it feels better for him ❤️
I think Clark just has a lot of fur, so maybe it is cooler for him downstairs in the summer.

After we moved into our current home, we knew there were trees that we would need to deal with and boy, oh boy, what an ordeal. We had 4 trees removed from the back yard - one being a very large, huge trunk, messy silver maple. We had all of the stumps ground out along with 4 other approximately 10" trunks from trees someone had previously removed. The year before last we had the very large, huge trunk, messy silver maple and a smaller one removed from the front yard. I know the need and the importance of trees but the 2 large silver maples were dangerous. They were very old and had the potential to cause a lot of damage if we had a bad storm, as they had never been trimmed. Every time it rained or the wind blew a little, there would be tons of little twigs and branches and they also produce the helicopter seeds we see in the fall, causing a lot of self planting of volunteers that we still have to fight because they keep coming back despite being cut back and the bark peeled. Too hard for us to dig up and not willing to pay someone else to do it. I think you got a really good deal on your tree removal. I can't even remember now how much ours was but we had it done at 2 different times which made it feel slightly less painless. At least we don't have the 28 plus huge bags of leaves to remove anymore. We are down to 4 or 5 and those leaves are mostly from the neighbors.
Oh Ranee we hold our breaths every time a store comes through.
