I'm definitely liking the weather I ended having to overseed my front and side yard last Thursday due to fungus outbreak. Hopefully I see germination this week so my lawn can slowly bounce back
The dryness continues and there's no forecast of rain this week. We got surprised with a sprinkle yesterday morning. Looking forward to your next video!
I have the same Orbit tripod sprinkler but I have modified it with a Rainbird 5000 pop up head using a 1/2-3/4” MNPT plastic adapter. Using the Rainbird head gives me more options as far as how much water I can apply( up to 9 gallons per minute). I have thought of getting the new GCI 30-0-0 bio char product I will allow you to be the Guinea pig, probably something I will do next year
I saw Pete's video and ordered a bag! Jeff up a GCI told me to wait until my germination is complete to put down. Price is right but shipping is outrageous! I have a few areas like you..I might have to get some garden soil too!
Hi, great video as always. Interesting you made a comment about seeding this late. As I just did it for one of my old neighbors today. And we are in central south jersey. I used seed from Site One called teammates. 80 percent fescue 20 percent perennial rye. Also used 16-2-3 scream n green fertilizer with origanic in it yes this late..
To my knowledge university studies have shown no turf quality improvement with Biochar alone. The nitrogen will of course show turf quality improvement but when the 2 are mixed as they are here you would never know the Biochar does nothing noticeable to the turf as the difference in quality you perceive will be from the nitrogen. Biochar applied over the years will improve soil conditions however.
I have used both the Lowe’s and Scott’s brand of lawn soil, IMO the Scott’s was better the wood pieces are much smaller in the Lowe’s brand. I do like the Lawn Soil product it is not messy like peat moss I just dump the contents in a Gorilla cart and work from that
Yea, right now the shipping is like $23 or something. Guess it depends on your location, but it's less than Protene, but only one option for shipping at the moment.
The website doesn't say, just that it can be used "many different ways". Being I've done a spoon feeding of urea with my fungicide, I'm going lite with it at first myself. Urea is immediately taken up by the plant, so I don't believe this is slow release.
It is urea nitrogen which is fast release. The ammonia nitrogen in it is immediately available nitrogen. So it doesn’t have any slow release in it at all.
I bought it and can't wait to use it. Mr. Ferguson, your lawn looks amazing. Going with the 19-0-19 in a month
Awesome man, I think I'm gonna try it soon as well.
Bought the new fert, going to spoon feed this every 2 to 3 weeks in FL where we usually get a year round growing season in fall/winter.
Your lawn is getting better every video! Looks like a good time with family too Mr. Ferguson!
You are correct! It is improving, a lot.
Looks like a beautiful time at the fair 🎉

Yep, pretty nuts. Hope you get some rain to spring it all up quickly!

$35 for a 40lb bag? SIGN ME UP!!! Ill take about a pallet or 2. Game changer price IMO
When I lived in Arizona I went to the state fair they had deep fried butter and chocolate covered scorpions

So 36 dollars for the 40 pound bag of fertilizer then add another 30 dollars for the shipping?

I checked it out but works out really expensive with shipping. I would love to buy it but wish it was a bit cheaper
Totally get it!
I know you're trying it out first. it says every 30 days. is this not considered a slow release?
