    I have been working on my own harvesting apron over the past few days but while I’ve been working it out in my head, I’ve been having a hard time figuring out how too add the seamless nice uniformed waist part with the ties connected and this was really helpful! Thank you so much!

    I loved the tip on sewing the top of the pocket down so that when you flip it, the edge is finished. A lot of tutorials just sew the sides by folding them and it doesn’t look as nice.

    I'm a total sewing novice, and I'm currently using this as a beginner project for myself. It's looking so cute!

    Lovely!! I'm doing some vintage, retro sewing and this would be perfect to add to my already, lengthy sewing list! I always look forward to your videos!

    For a more functional apron, make the size of your pocket larger. I made my apron 18 inches long and added two pockets. I also increased the width so I could add some gathering. I cut a lining pieces for pockets and front (and gathered it to match). Sewed it to the front apron body before putting the waistband together. So I didn’t have to do any hemming on the apron or pockets. Lining always makes sewing easier for me.

    How awesome, I finally found a pattern to create a half apron. I made a similar apron many years ago in Home Ec and my Mom loved it and wore it in the kitchen until it literally wore out. Now my daughter has asked me to sew her an apron as she can’t find a descent one in the store...so I immediately thought of my Mom’s apron but couldn’t find a pattern that even came close to what I want until now.

    Thank you for the information of instruction video!! I was able to sell two aprons for my daughter-in-law and she love them. I am back at it for my other daughter-in-law and soon to be daughter-in-law and also I think I’ll make two for my sons, but… I’m hoping to find a full apron design? Do you have any links or suggestions for a full apron? I like this one so much and would like the full apron to be an extension of this. Thank you

    Great tutorial!! I will be making 14 of these aprons to give to my girlfriends during a ladies' getaway weekend. I have 2 questions...do you have a preferred type of fabric that works best for the aprons? Also, if a couple of the ladies need a plus size apron, should I add 4' or 5" to the measurements of everything except the pocket? Thank you!!

      I use quilters cotton. Yes, you can definitely add inches that's a good measurement to start with. :)

    I always love your videos and nails! Would this apron fit all sizes?

    • @ProfessorPincushion
      @ProfessorPincushion  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably most but you can make the apron itself wider and the straps longer if you need to. Maybe make a quick sample in muslin first to see if you want to make any alterations before using cuter fabric

    Handling the fabric, especially when trying to turn under 1/4", would be SO much easier without the claws.

    The instructions would be a lot more effective if you would "announce" the purpose of the next step. And also, please, lose some of the verbal clutter.
