    dream theater....the have so many of my favourite songs..and musicians for example:
    Labrie - Favourite Vocalist, just ahead of Axl Rose
    Petrucci - Best style, sound, composer and guitarist
    Myung - Great Bassist
    Portnoy - Love his keyboard work (soz if thats not him)

  • @YtseJam214
    @YtseJam214 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    At the beginning LaBrie is a bit off, but when it matters, he totally comes back and sings this tune way better than I thought he was still capable. Just wow! Excellent job.
    Also, one of the best guitar solos of all time. This is why I love Petrucci.

    lol certainly you can "ride" the waves of a song! thats what it looked like he was doing at the keyboards (kinda one-movement dancing). and you definetly don't have to be high to feel it, although omg it makes it fun.

    its called a diminished chord. its not a dead note. its supposed to sound like that. its not a mess up.. well idk i never heard the album version of it. so it might not always be like that. but they made a diminished chord. i thought it added a nice touch.

  • @SalvadorDardy
    @SalvadorDardy 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like LaBrie. He sounds pretty good on record and alright live, if a little off key at times. And remember, with DT being musicians of such calibre, i doubt they'd have any reservations about removing him if they felt he hindered them. So they must like him

    cause they probably wanted that first set to be the lesser known stuff, i.e thats why raise the knife is there instead of new millenium, and why innocence faded is there instead of the mirror. Just a thought

    DT may not be "cool" by modern day standards.. but you have to realize that "cool" by modern day standards is all based around gimmicks.. this is real music, thought, and feeling with a TON of more effort and work behind it than any band out nowdays. It's called commitment.

    Mariah Carey does for certain, and supposedly has even more than five octaves... Kat Deluna also is reported to have five octaves, and I don't doubt there are others,

    omg... are ppl still holding on to Moore? He was great on WDADU and Images and Words but when Jordan joined the band they've progressed and improved beyond our and their imagination. Just listen to what Jordan did with Scenes From A Memory

  • @PsukeLukou
    @PsukeLukou 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm sure Petrucci loved that high-pitched note right in his ear!

  • @GuillermoSmyser
    @GuillermoSmyser 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just don't get why people get so mad about Dragonforce. I like both bands. I realize DT is a lot more professional than DF but DF is really starting to make an effort and hopefully now that they are getting a new singer maybe they will be trying to be more like DT.
    But just because they aren't as good as Dream Theater (cause, who the hell is?!) doesn't mean they suck. And they really don't.
    But if someone prefers Li to Petrucci and shows it by saying he's "better" doesn't mean anything.

  • @metabog
    @metabog 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Stop comparing DT's musicianship to any other band's, they are light years ahead of any other technical music.
    That does not mean they are universally better than any other band. Just "better" technically.

  • @Simoto92

    It actually think this is one of John Petruccis best looks, Semi-long hair, the mandatory beard, and a bit buffed up(not too much). He looks awesome!
