The major question is what if I have the idea of a website or app and I'll not code it. Instead, I want a company of coders to write the code for me. What guarantees me that they'll not steal my idea? Should I go for patent or anything?
They will steal you idea and code like it’s normal, it’s a very common practice among the coders community to sell your code for a competitor. You need to patent your idea. Patent can be for any idea not only a scientific invention. Copyright is for artistic works (song, film, book etc.) Trademark for commercial identity (name, logo, slogan etc.) Patent is for any other idea (app idea, scientific method, new physical product etc.) Trade secret is for any other idea too but it’s more like food recipe, secret suppliers etc. - my advice is that I am in the same situation as you, and many lawyers suspiciously don’t recommend you patent your idea despite the fact that the government doesn’t require anything but to put your idea in way that can be *SEEN* fro example: draw the app on a piece of paper, app mock-up etc. - actually, countries proud themsleves of their annual patents registration. So it will be really easy and simple if you are willing to stand up for your idea from immoral competitors and copiers.
Hi Excellent video, I really appreciate it. I am just getting into launching a product and I was wondering if Registering a Business license offers any protection to a small business's name? Also I live in Canada, do I need to register a business license and trademark in Canada and The USA, if I intend to sell in both Countries? Thank you again for the great video and keep up the great work :)
I have a question say that there's a company with a registered trademark by the name of 'Bananaboat' in the U.S but none within Australia. Would it be possible to make a different logo and product line but using the same name?
This is the best video I've seen on this subject. Bravo.
Couldn't help liking it. Amazing! Explained all the questions and confusions that I had about these terms.

I'm not quite sure what category art falls in. Very helpful piece of information and understandable.
What I mean is may you please tell me what category art would be... I asked that because I want to make a comic online with my signature as an artist.
Well appreciated my brother
Thank you
