The Ronald Reagan one is even funnier when you remember that this was after he had already been shot in an assassination attempt a few years before that speech.
Yeah, some people claimed he had cognitive issues due to blood loss. That quip most certainly showed he had both paddles in the water.

Well, Reagan had previous experience with being shot by a would-be assassin.
Reagan was always quick with a joke and other politicians hated it because they could not tell if he was being sarcastic or not. He also liked dark humor. It was sad to see his mind go in the end.

The Ronald Reagan clip happened after someone actually tried to assassinate him and he was shot. That’s what made it extremely funny at the time.

This video WAS afterwards. Reagan got shot in the early 80s. This video was later in the decade. That's why him saying "missed me" instead of panicking makes him such a bad ass.

10:05 After working in a restaurant kitchen I can confirm that cooking mustard based vegetables (broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, kale) in certain ways can indeed make them smell like s**t.
I spent an entire afternoon thinking someone had tread it onto my freshly mopped floor until the head chef told me it's just veg 🤣
There is a fungus (I think) or some problem with broccoli in particular, that when you heat it up it really does smell like dog sh*t.
We had some like that and I ended up tossing the whole case. I wanted nothing to do with it.

The man gets shot by a whack-a-do a couple months into his first term as POTUS and just uses it as new material for jokes. Reagan, of course, always identified himself as an optimist. Best POTUS ever... not that there's been much competition for the title since Reagan.

Fun fact, when Reagan was actually shot for real a few years later he was rushed to the emergency room and upon seeing his wife Nancy there he remarked "Honey, I forgot to duck!" I despise the man for his policies but damned if he wasn't clever lol.
This was actually after he got shot. I believe it was 81 when he was shot, that was in 87.
