The state of that pitch, it's a miracle both teams managed to serve up a game of such quality. It was like treacle and must have sapped so much energy out of both teams. Great game though! Thanks for posting!
thank you for this video. Good old stuff from good old times. Tony wa still in Nottingham. After this top match for him he changed to cologne. . Top match of both teams....
An absolute pudding of a pitch, that. After Okudera’s equaliser, I think it was the Daily Mirror that ran with the headline “Forest sunk by Jap sub”. But Cloughie knew better. “We’ll only need one goal”. How right he was.
This is pretty much how it went from the mid70s to the mid80s- the English clubs more often than not beat the German clubs but struggled against the Italians. The Germans more often than not beat the Italians but struggled against the English clubs. The Italian clubs more often than not beat the English clubs but struggled against the Germans. The trophy winners were more of less determined by the luck of the draw- if the Germans put out the Italians for us, English teams generally won the cups, if the Italians put out the English for them, the Germans generally won it, if the English put out the Germans but the Italians were still in it, the Italians generally won it. 🤷

Un grandissimo Nottingham forest targato Bryan clough 🏆🏆👍
Would have made a great final. Neutral venue good pitch Cologne probably win . Great game and memories . What a pitch
German clubs, if they did not win, were regularly in the semifinals or finals of European cups
From 67-83 British clubs were pretty dominant

German and English clubs dominated in the 70s and 80s, especially the Germans in the 90s and up to the early 2000s.
Italians 🤚👋
The battle of the Somme, colorized.
WATCHED YOUR NEXT NICE VIDEO AND ENJOYED. SO LIKE AND THANKS FROM YOUR SUBSCRIBER. BAKU CITY
Cloughie knew Forest would get through in the second leg
How did we win this game? More chances in this game than a full champions league programme! That pitch though 🙈
