Dylan Cassels Louis is an amazing instructor especially if you realise he is only 19 years old here! Eloquent and informative, he has delivered a great instructional here! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting!
Dude, THANKS!!! you rock! I was worrying about this kind of thing, I'm practicing almost one year and every sparring I make my opponent is always in front of me and I'm always hesitating to hit them because there aren't any opening to hit and if I try I would be the one with the opening. But you just have taught me and I'm grateful :D
very good indeed. Thank you for sharing with us all this knowledge and the science behind this beautiful fighting style. These instructors really know what they are doing
Belial Beetz Thanks for the great comment, Louis is a great instructor and this is a fantastic tutorial on, as you say, something you don't see in a lot of videos! Glad you enjoyed it!
Do not over do it.... this concept works best on a raging opposition.... as their anger will turn them slightly to one angle and keep them their longer than usual.... a patient counter fighter will understand the rythme and step back or get in close to trap your evasive steps... remember to knock someone out fast you have catch them with a haymaker hook AS their coming\during not after they have come but as their coming.... when they come they lose the ability to be evsavie and logically are distributed by by knocking you out...... jkd peace.
I'm a new subscriber, and I just want to say thanks for uploading all these. I'm not a fighter, but I thought it would be a good idea of general things to try in emergencies. Muy Thai seemed like a nice efficient martial arts so I'm trying to get the hang of the basics right now. But great job and thanks!
how are we to deal with someone who is just coming up front always in to the face....aggressively how to break his move and attack ..? I am a beginner in kick boxing
Great question. There are a few tutorials on this channel that deal specifically with handling aggressive opponents. 10 Ways to attack on the retreat is one and how to deal with aggressive fighters is another. Check them out and see what you think!!
Glad you liked it, it is actually a little difficult to put concepts across sometimes as normal speed. The reason being you need your partner/opponent to not know it is coming to demonstrates it's full effect. It is just one of those things to give a go at in light sparring to see if you can set your partner up and/or make it work in a flowing fashion!
I have been doing Muay Thai for a few years now. My technique is very nice, kicking, punching and guard. I have one problem though. Recently I started sparring again, after not having done that for a while, because of certain circumstances. Anyway I often fight with someone who has fought a match before. Even though everything is going alright (he rarely lands a punch or kick through my guard), I mainly wonder what the best way is to 'engage' an combination. The main problem for me is that I often wait to counterpunch, which often doesn't succeed anyway (atleast not with this specific sparring partner). What I also noticed about myself is that I want to counterpunch my opponent, while he throws his combination. For some reason this doesn't seem realistic for me, looking back at it right now. Isn't this something for 'more experienced fighters.'?Are there any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)
read the five ways to attached by Bruce Lee.. or watch the video here on youtube. "Bruce Lee and the five ways to attach". it helps alot . good luck bro
Great angle instructional .. thanks for sharing, I was doing this kind of well when I came from Basketball to Muaythai. I just call it a crossover, cose that's what's called in bball.
Instructor spoke well and didn't repeat the same thing like in so many video's.

Great high-level and technical tutorial! As someone who's getting into Muay Thai and having to spar larger opponents, this is really useful!
How is it going?
