Just got my Ohio Steel sweeper yesterday, and got it together this morning. I'll be putting it to use tomorrow, and I hope it works as well as yours. Good vid. 👍
Bought a used mower without a bagger system. Bought one of these instead. Works great. Works even better if you have a well leveled lawn (which i dont) but i never rake. I can mulch the leaves with the mower and still pick them up with the sweeper
Hey Chris, I have a few quail question... How many eggs am I suppose to be getting from my 11 hens? Right now I am getting between 16 to 19 eggs in a day and at least 2 - 3 of them are double yoked. I feed 30% protein turkey starter crumble and lots of treats ( freeze dried mealworms with shrimp) and veggies. I gather eggs every day so it is not that I am getting leftovers from the day before. I am getting more than one egg a day out of most of the hens. And will the double yoked eggs hatch if I put them in the incubator? Is it bad that they are laying like this? They are living inside and have light about 16 hours a day. These are very tame and will hang out with me. I just don't want them to be hurting themselves.
wow, that is some good egg production. Chances are they just started laying eggs and will level out before long. It is nothing to worry about. It is not a good idea to incubate the double yolk eggs though. They very seldom hatch and if they do they usually don't survive.
I've been looking for one of these for a while. I got a fix for the hopper the bottom I've heard wears out and its expensive too replace. Why not get a 1/4 inch piece of plywood and attach it underneath the bottom of the hopper. That would save the wear! Just food for thought
The biggest problem with this type of sweeper is it doesn't work with damp grass at all! I used to have to manually spread the grass and hope for 2-3 dry days in a row. Too much work.
@@Slightlyrednecked I purchased one from my local Agri-Supply store.....pain in the butt to put together, but man does it work! Picks up rocks, sticks, leaves and YES Sweet Gumballs!!
I'm giving two thumb up on the yard sweeper! My mom/step dad had one of these and was priceless. :)
I love mine. Great investment for sure.

Seems widening the gate would be a good upgrade
I agree. it is in the plans when I have the funds.

Or, you could just use fiberglass? I recommend it for all kinds of things.
Can you please send me the link to get that tool I do like it
I put a link in the description.
You need a vintage Snapper Bag-N-Wagon!! haha
lol. That isn't a terrible idea.
I know this was 2 years a go but I bet you regretted dumping all that grass right there lol cheers great video eh!

How well does this pick up acorns and hickory nuts?
I don't have a lot of those so I can't say for sure. It does a pretty decent job of picking up small items but doesn't get every little thing.
Will this pick up the spiny gumballs?
I think it would. I don't have a sweet gum tree so I can't test it out but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It picks up sticks and things just fine.

Works fantastic on leaves in the fall, but the hopper is really too small, have to empty every 2 rounds of the yard.
That can be a problem for sure. Still better than raking by hand though.
How much do these cost
I enjoyed the video looks like you deck isn't level or something.
Salute
Thanks.
HEY GUYS!
Sabres are JUNK.
Complains it isn’t big enough bough for holding grass, then complains to big for the gate 🤦🏻♂️.
I have bigger gates now so it easily fits through.
I thought a redneck was derogatory term 😳
Only if you are an overly sensitive type.
You said “wheelbarrel” . That’s not how you pronounce it . It’s called a
“wheelbarrow”. Not barrel! 😏
lol. I guess that is one of the words I get wrong. Keep watching and you will probably find many more.
