Hyderabad, city, Telangana state, south-central India. It is Telangana’s largest and most-populous city and is the major urban centre for all of south-central interior India. From 1956 to 2014 Hyderabad was the capital of Andhra Pradesh state, but, with the creation of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh in 2014, it was redesignated as the capital of both states.
Hyderabad is located on the Musi River in the heart of the Telangana Plateau, a major upland region of the Deccan (peninsular India).
Dubbed the Arc de Triomphe of the east and Hyderabad’s most iconic structure, Charminar, was built to mark the eradication of the epidemic cholera that had ravaged the city in the 16th century. Lying on the east bank of the Musi river with the Laad Bazaar to its west and Makkah Masjid to the south-west, Charminar is a cultural and historical landmark that translates into four minars or pillars in Urdu. The area around the monument is also referred to as Charminar, and for a first-timer a tour of the Nizam city is incomplete without taking in the infectious energy of the place where it all began. Albeit traffic-ridden, the bazaars are still chaotic with their labyrinthine by-lanes heaving with hawkers, bangle sellers and food stalls.

Almost all historic indian cities have old city and new city parts. Example, Mumbai is the city almost started by british so you will not find old new city divide. Delhi is a historic city, it has existence from atleast 3000 years on record so you will see old and new city divide. Same with hyderabad even though its not as old as delhi. Chennai and kolkata were started by british so you will not find this divide there. Bangalore thro history was ruled by indians thro history sobit has sren consistent transformation without much divide. Infact old bangalore is more modern then new bangalore. 😄

Hi priya, at shadab hotel you were sitting at the common area where only men sit, it has a separate AC section upstairs for women and families.... Every hotel in Hyderabad has separate sections for men and families.... If you are a lone femlqe you can sit in the families section..... Also a piece of advice, while vlogging in india always go for flats or sneakers (best) do not wear heels as you have to do a lot of walking while vlogging.....

Its just that Hyderabad has a large muslim population and muslim women follow hijab so the restaurants cater to their customers by having two sections, AC and non - AC... Its the culture or the non stated understanding that females go to the AC section...though nobody would say anything even if any lady sat in the non AC section... You can see in the video nobody even batted an eye when priya sat there... I just commented/explained this culture because priya was wondering why there isn't any lady at the restaurant........ Hyderabad is one of the safest cities...the people are very friendly, non judgemental and highly cultured due to their rich heritage......

Priya, you are a brave girl. Thanks for the video. Being a Hyderabadi like 45 years ago, some facts here: That area doesn't have many literate people. There used to be many pick-pocketers there. I lost my whole salary to one there back in those days. I don't see conditions have improved it looks just the same.
The auto-trawlers harassing the customers to go to a specific restaurant is abymissmal. If Hyd police are watching it, arrest them right away.
Yes, I recommend Shadab however it is not the place to try Veggie biriyani. If you could eat egg, they make a lovely egg-version. That orange gravy is the mother of all gravies. I would literally drink them back in my days.
You did the right thing by booking Ola.
Again, price-haggling is the key there. One should be brave to under cut the price to like 40% or below. For instance you paid 350 rupees, I would have quoted 100 and just use the word I will tip you 'thoda' (like 20 rs) on top of it. See the body language. Auto drivers don't have good reputation there.
You did not find girls in the restaurant because they normally are in the family section. That glass of water, yeah right don't drink it. I will not tell why :-).

First he told he will take us to the market and will drop at the same pickup spot for 20rs and when I didn't buy anything he started scolding me badly
There was a police standing nearby so I went and reported the whole thing to the police and they helped me reach my hotel safe
And the tour guide were very helpful.

No mam. Hyderabad has 65% hindu and 30% muslims. But yeah old hyderabad around charminar is muslim majority area.
Why was it a Muslim majority at one time? What's the history?
@@angela10491 It was ruled by a nizam a muslim ruler around 17th century with old hyderabad as their capital. Old hyderabad is still the muslim majority area. In fact I even doubt if people of other religions stay in that area. In those days cities used to have boundary gates and people from other religions were made outcastes who had settled outside those gates. Now hyderabad has grown a lot with 11 million people living there. It's the 6th largest city in India behind delhi, mumbai, kolkata, bangalore and chennai.

This is common. All auto people have link ups with some shops in all these historical cities and they try to con. Pearls in hyderabad, banana and palm clothes in agra, silk clothes and sandal wood materials in bangalore, diamonds in surat. This is very common and one should be aware and not fall for it. Always better to choose where to shop for genuine materials as there exists some con shops alongside if one wants to shop.
