The Pioneer DJ XPRS82 packs a serious punch for its size. The build quality feels rock solid, and that warm sound is exactly what I look for in a monitor. The DSP options are a game-changer. I can see this being a versatile speaker for both home studio and small gigs.
Great review. With so many battery operated speakers in this size, not sure who Pioneer is marketing this to and at $750 there are a lot of incredible battery operated options out there.
$750 each is too much $$$. You could get a pair of 8” Fluid Audio speakers for $500 and they would probably sound close to as good as these. The Pioneer tax is a real ass thing
Wassuperz Nick. Hyd. I’m in the market for a new set of pro dj Speakers and subwoofers. Not the highest end price nor the lowest end price. Any recommendations?
@@NickSpinelli beauty bro! I've been emailing some blends (I met you on dangerous dj school part of that for about a year) Let me know how you enjoy and special requests.
These with a pair of Kali WS-12 V2 in theory would be the best lightweight small event setup. Hopefully Kali audio will send you a WS-12 V2 subwoofer to review?!
I was disappointed since this essentially looks like the EV wireless speaker. If they made the Wave Eight this clean, compact, and solid, they may finally have a winner. Dear PioneerDJ... we don't need/want wheels, telescoping handle, and unnecessary sharp angled spaceship molding. Just give us a clean, solid speaker that is truly wireless.
An 8” speaker rated to 60 hertz is excellent for bass, no it’s not going to do sweeping sub bass but it will pack. Punch and would surprise you with how low it goes beyond the +\-3db
Pioneer got burned with their relationship with PowerSoft for their Older XPRS line. I have a pair of 12" and to replace the Amplifier Module it costs more than the Speaker's retail price. GO FIGURE. That turned me off of Pioneer PERMANENTLLY.
We need a Nick Spinelli review for everything!
Amazed at how far they went with the Nintedoey menus! My inner nerd is pleased!

750?!? That’s wild. Wouldn’t pay more like 400. Is that each or for a pair??
@@allentastic for each. I got a pair of mackie thump gos for 700.

Thanks for the review you have told us it was crap but with an upbeat review 😆🙏
Nick, do they hiss? The latter pioneer models I have bought have a slightly irritating background hiss even with nothing plugged in
Is this battery power ?
Nick, you working out!? Look great! Keep up the great work also

Check out the ICOA series! He has videos about them! Crazy good speakers at an affordable price!!
I have 2 15’ Mackie Thump XT’s and the matching 18’ Sub. It’s a solid and light system for a single man operation.
these are build like TANKS!
would you recommend this for 50 ppl or less at outside events?
Yes
I’m sure this next version will have that Djing Bluetooth technology ✅💯🔥
Good for a house party? compared to ev8?
Yes!

All speakers should include a rating of how many stairs they can be kicked down and still operate.
@@Bigheadedwon 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What’s the rms on it? Shit looks too small to even be worth a damn. Bet the Everse 8 would be a good comparison.
What was that model number again. Lol
Great review
This speaker seems really pointless when the Alpha Theta Wave Eight is out!
I had the Pioneer Dj XPRS 12" I got rid of them right away. I didn't like them at all. Very very hard to get them to sound good.

60hrz is not good for low end either 127db is also not loud

just call them Express 2

2000watt 127 spl. no way pioneer. that's similar spl to a icoa 15 bt. thats 128spl and that can be used for larger venues
To Pioneer: Now add battery and Bluetooth, USB ports… lol
Shit is trash. Too heavy to be mobile, too expensive to compete with Mackie which is tried and true
If it’s anything like the vm70 they will be shit I hate mine Adam a7x are far superior, pioneer make terrible sounding speakers
First 💯
