Meg, what an epic haul! The trim was amazing! So sorry you had to go through this with all of the testing and hives! Be very careful if they give you additional doses of steroids. My daughter had (I think three doses) to get rid of full body hives and she got Cushing disease. (She gained 80 lbs. in two months.) It was awful for her. This doesn’t happen with single dose but we weren’t aware of this possible side effect. Hugs🌸
Love it all Meg! You find the coolest items, the trims/rick-rack are my favorites....some things I never find. Prayers for dealing with the allergies. TFS Happy Crafting 💜
Just love that you found yourself the Steinbach nutcracker and strawberry embroidered linen piece! Oh my goodness!!! That punch!! Or you just don’t know your own strength! 😅. A fun haul! Looking forward to your children bedtime journal, Meg! Hugs to you!
Lovely haul, Meg! I wonder what lead to that Fiskar punch being so brittle? Crazy! So sorry that you had to go through all the testing, just to confirm what you pretty much knew. It sounds like a lot of lifestyle upheaval with all the changes to avoid those toxic chemicals 😢. My prayers are with you, that God will give you peace during this time of adjustment ❤❤. Unfortunately I do not know very much about different glues. I do know the Beacon brand glues are quite strong and chemically just from the smell of them. Have a blessed week!
Meg - I love your haul! Those specialty trims are epic. That fiskars punch was wild. I have never seen any craft tool break apart quite like that did. TFS xo Mary
Ooo, those pink and gray sea shells are so 50s! Love them! Embellished rick rack and all those colors - terrific find! That tool looks like what you use to make a hook rug. Oh, my gosh - 50¢ for a Steinbach? And a limited edition! Really a treasure! I used to do Jiffy Stitchery in college on Sunday afternoons. I don't know how many sea shells I did but they were my addiction. Love all your trims and fabric finds - the dog is adorable. I've never seen a punch just fall apart (or explode) like that! Glad you weren't hurt. I think my mother had a pair of pants in the 70s made out of the orange taffeta! I use PVA glue for fabric covered journals. I put it on with a paint brush. It takes longer to dry but it doesn't have the same chemicals as the Beacon glues.
The Christmas rik rak was really amazing. The nut cracker is so dang cute. Oh my, that punch Meg, I am so sorry. I am glad you didn't get hurt. I am sorry to hear about all the allergens. I know you will feel better knowing that you won't have to worry about it now.
No ric rac, jacquard trim or smiley face left behind!!! Your haul ticked all the boxes. I just got off a steroid for a severe case of poison ivy so I can relate to the sleeplessness. Thank goodness for all the amazing TH-cam junk journal content! Praying for you and your allergen journey! 😊
I especially loved the trims..very fun! I have had several fiskars border punches break, but not explode! Oh my goodness! I won't buy fiskars punches anymore after my experiences with them.
Oh my goodness!!! My daughter collects nutcrackers - as soon as you said Steinbach I KNEW you had gotten a deal. We started Lesli's collections when she was about 7. The last one I found her was a Bob Ross nutcracker - he is adorable!!!! TYFS Meg💖. Yes I see the state of Louisiana💖💖💖
Wow, that punch said “not today, or tomorrow!”, 😬. The taffeta is just called “two tone taffeta”, not a very interesting or innovative name. 🤷🏻♀️ Exploding punches aside, it was a great haul!
Cool finds. That’s a latch hook for making rugs.
@@eyecandycrafts291 ah thanks!
Beautiful...all so affordable! WOW WOW TFS...❤❤❤...B

So glad that punch didn't hurt you! I am glad you found out about your allergies. I don't know if you could switch over to hot glue...might help.
Great idea! Thanks!

oh how cute I bet that one is!
Love the paper! Will have to wait till the next sale though!! You did find some great deals! I have never seen a punch do that before! That was crazy!
@@dedepaul1 hubby said maybe it broke because I didn’t realize my strength while on steroids! 😂😂😂 I think it’s gonna be an inside joke now. 🤣
I am finding clear Elmers Glue works on fabric so far. Plus it is cheaper.
@@melanievando2040 hopefully it’s acrylate free. will have to try!
