I love the part where all the patients are free and they are all running behind the hulk. When they escape. Good series I grew up watching this as a kid.
One of many times David purposely let the hulk out 👍🏻 man..I love this show since I was around 6-7 I'm 48 and I still get the chills when David's eyes turn white then" dunnnnnnnggg!" No going back after that 😄👍🏻 Bixby and Lou were brilliant.
I’m also 48. As a little kid, I’d always hide behind the couch when I knew those green eyes were coming out while my big brother was cheering for the Hulk to come out and “smesh” things. 😂
Of course the obvious reason that the Hulk didn't go all the way and get completely out of the sanitarium grounds was we still have 30 minutes left in the episode to go

And Bixby did it fairly quick! I think as an actor he was trying to show us visually that Banner's strength increases immediately right when his eyes get weird. Props to Bixby since he really didn't HAVE to do that situp for the transformation. It made the scene all the more freaky!
Ferrigno was the reason why this Hulk was the best. Very little special effects, more great acting. People today don’t know good acting anymore, we put everything on special effects.
Usually they were green but on occasion they were white and very noticable. Also the trousers only reaching the knees would make him about 11 feet tall!
Along with Hulk & Wonderwoman, the superhero shows (in the US) in the 1970s just helped keep this superhero concept alive & moving along to what we have now with the MCU/DCEU, as part of its continuation since the days of Tarzan, Buck Rogers, Batman & Flash Gordon of the early 20th century. Greatest American Hero, Spiderman 1977, Superfriends animation, Superman 1979, Bionic Man/Woman & Shazam (& others) also come to mind when I also watched these as a kid of the `70s. 08/07/24
Love Hulk and this version. This makes me emotional because they used to relay the repeats on a Saturday late afternoon on ITV in the early 90s and I used to watch this with my little brother when he was a child. Brings back just warm memories of our child/teenhood.
I used to watch this as a kid in the 80s here in England, him morphing into Hulk both fascinated and terrified me. The 80s really was the golden age for TV shows and movies, makes me very nostalgic
I've seen every episode never missed one back then. I also recorded some episodes on vcr when I was out playing and watch them before bedtime I was 13yrs old whrn the series started
Another thing I've noticed about the Incredible Hulk, once the initial anger has depleted, he gets tired immediately and turns right back into normal Dr. David Banner.
Yeah, but they are all mental patients, so when they tell the staff what they seen their credibility goes out the window. Do note anyone in the show who see David transform are already either drunk or funny in the head... so when they tell their story to anyone they are laughed out of the room.
This was always one of my favourite Hulk outs, the build up to it was fantastic and you can tell Bixby and the crew had fun with the whole making out he's a madman angle when trying to expose the doctor and the way he came across as more and more unstable through simply telling the truth. Proper gaslighting right there.

Blue pants during hulk out instead of the tan ones he had on. I imagine they wanted contrast in color between the straight jacket and his pants but it seemed kind of obvious.
David was lucky that the patients in the sanitarium who followed him as the Hulk didn't tell the evil doctor and the other people behind him that David is the creature, though the evil doctor didn't see him until much later after the thing used to tranquilize David wore off.
Bill Bixby and. LOU Ferrigno has left quiet a legend behind them! There have been Bruce Banner i thought were Very Very good But there's only ONE David Banner and only ONE Bill Bixby. But Lou Ferrigno is The Best By far! No one Human has tried to even TRYto MATCH what hes already done.

Banner, for a guy who knew he had every motivation in the world to remain calm, sure had a problem with remaining calm. “David, remain calm.” “LISTEN TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!”

The live-action Hulk is far better than the CGI.
Yes it is. Especially the transformation scene 's
I don’t disagree, however, he would’ve had a tough time beating Thanos
