Ok now I think i understand why some cats are seen as demonic in Japan. Those priest probably get attacked by them quite often shaking that big fluffy prayer stick around.
The animistic threads woven through Shinto are a feature of most world religions outside of the Near Eastern sphere, so I'm not surprised there would be a similarity.
I don't think so. from what i heard shinto shrines are very open to people even to forigners of different religous beliefs. I think the reason there are so many men is because , as the person filming said, these are politicians and business men, which i heard are still male dominated roles.
I love that drumming

Shinto rituals reminds me a bit of Indonesian Hinduism.

Cool local shrine
Where do we find part 2?
Cool.
Very interesting but would ask, are Shinto rituals only for men ?

Absolutely not. There are Shintō rituals that involve women too.
👍👍👍😊
Is this a men only thing. Why are there no women present, Surely they are an equal part of the community.
