    Ok now I think i understand why some cats are seen as demonic in Japan. Those priest probably get attacked by them quite often shaking that big fluffy prayer stick around.

    Shinto rituals reminds me a bit of Indonesian Hinduism.

      The animistic threads woven through Shinto are a feature of most world religions outside of the Near Eastern sphere, so I'm not surprised there would be a similarity.

    Very interesting but would ask, are Shinto rituals only for men ?

      I don't think so. from what i heard shinto shrines are very open to people even to forigners of different religous beliefs. I think the reason there are so many men is because , as the person filming said, these are politicians and business men, which i heard are still male dominated roles.

      Absolutely not. There are Shintō rituals that involve women too.

    Is this a men only thing. Why are there no women present, Surely they are an equal part of the community.
