You can only compare players of the same era. The game evolves. Doc was a key factor every time he was on the court. His presence WAS felt

0:58 It looks like they were just finishing the exterior of the last few floors of the South Tower, so guessing late 1972/early 1973.

I enjoy watching Michael Kay interview great athletes like Julius Erving, a genuine class act. But what I'd really love to see is the host ask these guys who graced the sports world from the late '60s til the early 70s just how they managed to stay out of the draft. . .not the NFL draft or the free agent draft, but the U.S. ARMY DRAFT during the Vietnam War. Think about it. These are the best athletes in the Western world, all young and vigorous, with strength and agility beyond measure. But they're NOT qualified for Selective Service? Are you kidding me? Of course, I'm not naive. . . I know why they didn't serve. But I'd like to see a guy like Michael Kay--who prides himself on being a probing interviewer JUST ONCE act like one and ask Dr. J, Broadway Joe, Reggie Jackson, etc., etc., how come they never wore the suit. And don't give me that bullshit that there were plenty of athletes in Vietnam. Take away Roger Staubach, Rocky Bleier, and 3 or 4 other guys and it's one empty room. Anyway, a little truth would be a good thing. . .

How is that awful? What wrong with loving yourself? Especially if you're still a handsome dude in his 60's.
