@@YoboiAmani_ My bother in law is a hip hop producer here in the US, and last year, he showed me a clip from Cocona's video from Tape #2 and I loved it. Fast forward to TH-cam suggesting to me "Woke Up" m/v right after it was posted and it blew me away. I've been listening to rap since the very early 80's and I always loved female rappers, but not so much the newer ones because they are raunchy and overly sexualized when it's unnecessary. Mind you, I am a guy, and even I'm saying this! But XG's style has both the old school female rap feel as well as the new school rap feel, and I love it! I heard parts of Shooting Star and Left Right AFTER Woke up, and didn't know they sang pop music, so I was surprised at how multi-talented there are! Then I watched a 30 minute video of them preparing for a show in Los Angeles, and I loved how they are with each other, and how they have that politeness and sweetness that Japanese females/idols should have. Surprisingly, I became a big BABYMETAL fan a few years ago, and that opened my mind to Japanese artists and non English music. Before BABYMETAL I would never consider listening to non English songs, and I didnt understand the love for Kpop for a long time. But now thats all changed. I'm almost afraid to get into a new fandom! "The One" Babymetal's version of the "Alphaz" was always enough for me, BUT that may change when I start listening to more XG songs, especially since I already love the girls!
