21st Annual VIA-1 Culture Show: VSAM

VSAM, also known as the Vietnamese Student Association of Minnesota, aims to represent and bring together the Vietnamese community in Minnesota. By showcasing Vietnamese culture through our modern and traditional dance teams, we aim to highlight its diverse aspects. These teams recently performed for an audience of over 2,000 people at the annual Tết Show hosted at the University of Minnesota. Utilizing elements like parasols, the Traditional dance team encapsulates core cultural traditions, while the modern dance team introduces a fresh dimension by blending hip-hop with contemporary Vietnamese music. Our set provides a multi-faceted view of Vietnamese culture from past to present, allowing audience members to broaden their perspective of Vietnamese dance, music, and culture.
