- Heidelberg in southwest Germany is known for the Heidelberg University, founded in the 14th century. The city has a nice old town together with a large student population and even a castle.
We often visit Heidelberg here on POPtravel where we saw many areas, including the castle. This tour on a rainy summer evening starts in the old town with empty streets and ends via the Hauptstraße at the Bismarkplatz.

Great time of the day to record a video😁. I'm watching it at around that time. It was great to see some places I wasn't able to see while I was there. I remember the Gelato Go and I remember there was a clothing shop named Bonita but I couldn't see it here, it was on a corner. Thanks for the video!🙏❤

Was here for the first time the other month. Absolutely stunning place. We also stopped in Prague and Strasbourg which were beautiful as well but when you get to see views from the castle looking onto the town we realised it was Heidelberg for the win.

I took a pleasure cruise up the Neckar. I saw the castle and swans. I didn't get to philosopher's walk, but I did dine at Perkeo; and saw a graf with his wife eating there. The staff was most attentive. I ate sausage and apple sauce.

Vielen Dank! Es gibt viele schöne Orte in Deutschland. Vom Flair gefielen mir bisher die mittelgroßen Städte wie Regensburg, Freiburg, Mainz und auch hier Heidelberg am besten. Ein großer Fluss in der Nähe bringt viel. Dresden mit den Elbwiesen im Sommer bspw.. Von den Großstädten ist München für mich am angenehmsten. Die meisten Städte haben etwas Besonderes. Logistisch ist bspw. Karlsruhe für Tagestrips interessant, auch sonst nett. Man kommt gut nach Frankreich und selbst in die Schweiz, Baden-Baden...

There are actually 4 Heidelberg videos now 😎. You're right about Rostock and Braunschweig. Last June I was traveling from Greifswald via Wismar to Schwerin and had to pass Rostock. It's still on the list. Braunschweig (Brunswick) is a bit off the way. I want to see Magdeburg, Quedlinburg and Wernigerode which are in the area so I'll see what works out this summer. There are a bunch of smaller towns that are also missing which will be visited when the chance is coming. However, over the next few months other countries will get more walks as I feel I already have enough walks in Germany and 16 more to be published. Thanks for watching!

Zur Zeit reise ich mehr alleine und mache die Videos mit nur 1-2 Tagen Aufenthalt. Dieses Heidelberg Video entstand an einem Tag mein Heppenheim und Weinheim. Besonders 2020/21 reiste ich hautsächlich in Deutschland. Dieses Jahr 2021 begleitete mich eine Bekannte in Italien und auch einen Teil von Montenegro nach Albanien. Da ich oft mehrere Videos aufnehme und überdurchschnittlich schnell gehe, mache ich die Spaziergänge fast immer alleine, weil man sich auch sonst gerne unterhält. Insgesamt macht mir diese Art zu reisen noch viel Spaß, da ich ca. 15 Jahre lang mit Photos und Backpacking das Meiste schon besuchen durfte. Inzwischen bin ich bei über 600 Aufnahmen angelangt und habe Orte besucht, die ich ohne Videoaufnahmen kaum auf der Liste hatte
