Public boat to Gili Islands: the cheapest way to get to Gili T

After a week in Lombok, extending our visas, it was time to head to the Gili Islands. As budget backpackers in Indonesia we wanted to do this in the cheapest way possible. Spending nearly a quarter of what other tourists do, we took the public boat from Lombok to Gili T and it was so simple!
