Thanks for your lovely comments. We love Marella and finding it hard to try another cruise line. Hopefully Part 2 will also show you a lot more about life onboard a Marella cruise. Thanks for watching. 🚢😎☀🍹🍦🙂
Thanks Sue, it means a lot to us when people take the time to leave us such a lovely comment, Hope the notes keep growing when we bring part 2 out, will be much more information and tips on that one. 🚢🍹😎☀
Thank you, great help, lots of good advice, much needed. First time fly cruise, Tui from Glasgow to Malaga, boarding Marella Discovery 2 for 7 nights 'Spanish Flavour' .Super excited to see Part 2 of your next video, advice for booking excursions. 😁😎☀👏👏👏👏
Hi Patricia, really appreciate you watching and taking time to leave us such lovely comments. We are visiting Malaga in November, sadly not a cruise but a city break. Discovery 2 was our first Marella ship and we really enjoyed it. Despite being old it has still got some beautiful impressive areas such as the Atrium, Main dining room and theatre. I think its due a refurb so hopefully that might be done before you go. The green house is also nice to relax. Sure you will have a lovely time. We are doing a live stream this Sunday but i hope to have part 2 a week later and will definitely focus more on life on the ship and lots about excursions. 🚢🍹🍦☀😎
@@midatravel Departing from Glasgow on the 7th November flying direct to Malaga, so I've got time to see part 2. Love your videos honest and upbeat. I'll see you on live on Sunday from Scotland.😁❤❤
As always, great advice. Did our first cruise September. Was fantastic. Im always sharing your channel as it's so helpful. We did an inside cabin, chosen by marella as we didn't know where would be best. When we were allocated the reviews on-line described it as, worst cabin on the ship, very noisy.. was absolutely fine. But of vibration docking but we treated it as an alarm lol. Can't wait to book the next one!! Thanks again for your advice mike 👍🚢😁
Hi Donna, thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely comments, so happy to know that people find our content helpful and we really appreciate you sharing our vlogs. So happy you enjoyed your first cruise, any thoughts for your next one? We fell lucky with our allocated cabin, not sure i would take the chance again but it was worth the experience. Guess like us you must be heavy sleepers and no need for an alarm clock! Take care and let us know when your next one is booked. 🚢😎☀🍦🍹🙂
hey, first of all my husband and I love your videos guys ! also when will there be an Aegean shore one , I need help :) Question - do you know if there is any issues with the hold luggage being large suitcases , I have see a lot of the suitcases at port on videos and ours are larger I just want to me sure there is no issue there as these as hold ones and its only the weight that matters? thanks in advance.
Hi Joanne. Thanks so much for your lovely comments, really gives us great encouragement. No plans at the moment for an Aegean shore cruise but hopefully we will get round to it one day soon. Regards the suitcases. TUI When flying with TUI, passengers can take one piece of hand luggage and up to 15kg of checked luggage free of charge. The TUI hand luggage size and baggage allowance are as follows: Cabin Bags (Max. Dimensions) H55 x W40 x D20cm Max. Weight - 10kg Hold Luggage (Max. Dimensions) H x W x D = Any Size Max. Weight - 15-23kg (valid August 2024) So if you are flying with Tui then their policy states Any size between 15-23kg depending on weight given at booking. If not Tui then take a look at this website. itluggage.com/pages/airline-luggage-size-guidelines Hope this helps and now that is one worry less. 🙂🙂🙂
Great review. Travelled many times on Marella but also on Princess, P&O, Royal Caribbean plus a couple of others so not blinkered. Outside or inside? We like a window to look out, we have had an inside cabin but like to open the curtains and have a view. Balcony? We have cruised a few times and to be honest didn't really use the balconcy much, on our Fjords cruise we dashed side to side to see the views. If the cost is low enough we will book a balcony. On drinks, we find the standard package ok.
Hi Ian, thanks for your lovely comments and for watching. We have only tried Celebrity besides Marella so we need to start seeing what these other cruise lines have to offer. Have to admit i was like you and never thought i could stay in a room without a window. We started with balcony on Celebrity but found apart from early morning we didn't really use it. With Marella we went down to an outside which i quite liked but while on a cruise we got to look at the inside rooms on our changeover day and i was really pleasantly surprised so we decided to try it on our next cruise on Explorer and have to say i coped absolutely fine. I don't always plan to have inside rooms, if i saw an outside with a free upgrade to balcony i would do that. I am hoping we will do the Fjords next May and have to admit i love being on top deck as we sail into a port, it will help burn some calories running side to side! We went premium initially but like you we decided that the standard package had everything we needed. 🚢🌞😎🍹🍾
Thanks for your nice comments and glad your enjoying our content, means a lot. I was surprised by the no surge protection as well but it is correct. Surge protectors are designed for land-based power with consistent voltage. Cruise ships create what’s known as “dirty power” where voltages fluctuate. This dirty power also degrades the life of mobile devices much faster than land-based power. Some cruise companies ban extention leads totally but i have never had a problem on Marella. Hope this helps. 🙂
Cheers Jack, appreciate that. You should have no problem taking or using a tripod on board the ship. Many people who have taken tripods state that they rarely use it and many say a monopod is better. So be confident it will get used and hope you get to take some great photos. 🙂

Why are the extension leads to have no surge/overload protection? Thank you and enjoying you content 🙂

Hello great video.
Quick question: can I take my tripod stand for my camera on board marella Explorer two.
Thanks
