I have the greatest respect for Maurice and what he's done with "State of Mind" and his contributions to healing mental health. The first step is always talking about it, taking it from the dark and bringing it into the light. Mo was kind enough to ask to be on the show a while ago and I promised him I would do it before I left. So here it is and I thank you for watching.
The first time I heard his voice with that soft quality when he was coaching Melissa Archer playing pool on OLTL I fell in love with John McBain. I was so excited when he came to GH which I started watching just because some of the characters were crossing over but then he had to leave. But he came back, again and again. I really loved the scenes with Gregory and with Violet. I hope he comes back but I will look for him wherever he goes next.
I felt so sad when I read he was leaving. Was not expecting that. Will miss him and his talent. I'm hoping after several months they will bring him back to reunite with violet. I've loved him since one life to live. Best of luck Michael.
It’s not like Jonathan Jackson coming back is cutting into the budget. This isn’t a sandwich shop, where hiring one means you get rid of the other. I’m so angry they did this to Michael, and took Finn’s character. When Finn comes back from rehab it will be a recast. We won’t care about him, and will have to learn to accept him with Violet.
That was such a beautiful scene between Finn and Violet. I had no idea that Finn is leaving the show other than I realize the character is going into rehab for 3 months. I've watched Michael when he was on OLTL and then when he came to GH. The individual who plays Violet is a great actress. She has been on State of Mind. Everyone should go check out that video. I'm glad you mentioned it; I agree! It felt like the actors who play Brook Lynn and Chase were so moved and heartbroken witnessing it as well. It all felt so genuine. Definitely lots of tears.

Michael has a creative and soulful spirit about him. This was such a calming and deep conversation. It was like being in the room listening in on a private conversation, you could have turned down the lights and just sat listening to him, he's got this storyteller bedtime voice. Loved this Michael. If you've waited 3 years for Steve and Michael how long till you get Becky Herbst on or Kelly Monaco, that'll be a tough one. Not everyone wants to open up about themselves and speak but if they decide to, totally up to them, It'll be good to hear what they say. Thanks Maurice. I agree, I found the Black/ White Ball episodes right after Tyler's death. Nicholas 's scenes with Emily dead in his arms were Emmy worthy, I sobbed watching them. Then I read Constance Towers tribute to Tyler and cried for hours.
GH let go a very great actor, I was teary eyes when M E was saying goodbye bye to Voilet 😢. Can't understand why the writers would let Finn go just after Voilet grandpa passed 😢 Hopefully we will see him sometime in the future! Good luck with his future endeavors.. Thanks MB for sharing!

Michael has amazing eyes. Amazing voice. I know what it's like to be in the pit of depression. Begging for help and to be lifted up. I'm in a better place though the anxiety comes and goes. My hope and prayer is for Maurice to be lifted up more and more. My hope is for Michael to find joy in writing again.

His goodbye scenes on GH are Emmy winners and the tears flowed from his cast members to millions of viewers!
Funny story about Michael...I had pictures of my 2 crushes, Jon Bon Jovi and Michael Easton on my fridge during one of my pregnancies. I was due Feb 27, but always went late, so told my husband we would have our son on Jon Bon Jovi's birthday, Mar 2. I went into labor early so my husband laughed how I didn't have him on my crush's birthday. I laughed back. I had him on Feb 15, Michael Easton's birthday. That baby just graduated high school this year. 😄

Maurice my 19 year old son was just diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He started meds a week ago. He has been all over the place emotionally. Praying we see improvement soon. Thanks for what you're doing.

For those who don’t know - Wings Hauser played “Greg Foster “ on “ Young and Restless “ . He was one of Jill’s brothers, with William Grey Espy as “ Snapper “ . His son is on Kevin Costner’s series, I can’t remember what it was called.
I am going to miss Michael and his beautiful blue eyes. He seems like a caring, gentle person. Lots of luck to you Michael. I had the feeling with the scene with Violet where he was so emotional and caring, that is how he is in real life.

Just watching and only in almost 6 minutes. What Michael is talking about, not running from the bad feelings and putting yourself right in it, is exactly what I do and it works. It sounds almost crazy, as you would think it would do the exact opposite, but trust me. What I do when I'm really in a bad way or if I react negatively to a comment , situation , person or whatever, the first thing I do is I don't judge myself or the other person or try to analyze it and go right to the feeling I'm experiencing. It's a bit scary at first but once you see what happens you'll lose your fear. I feel, feel, feel it, sit with it not resisting it and after a while a peace comes over me and it's done. It changes something inside of you and after a while you'll even react less. I call it surrendering to the moment, almost giving it to God and he changes you. It's a wonderful tool. Ok, back to the podcast.

I was bummed as well that Michael Easton left GH. Maurice who is one of my favorite actor's, so is Michael one of my favorites as well. I remember Michael when he appeared on the soap Another World. Then, I remember his epic performance as Kaleb the Vampire on Port Charles. I hope the powers that be bring back Violet's mother so that Finn will have a reason to come back to the show. This way he can show his family that he's clean and Sober! This way the producers can bring Michael back. He is a great doctor on the show. Thanks to Maurice and the valuable State of Mind show for giving the fans an opportunity to see and hear Michael once again. Also, I remember Michael on OLTL such a great actor there. Michael has amazing eyes. Amazing voice. I know what it's like to be in the pit of depression. Begging for help and to be lifted up. I'm in a better place though the anxiety comes and goes. My hope and prayer is for Maurice to be lifted up more and more. My hope is for Michael to find joy in writing again.

His battle with Alcohol and his scenes showing his pain and his fears can only come from a soul who has been there and done that and bring his innermost feelings to bring the audience ! His goodbye scenes on GH are Emmy winners and the tears flowed from his cast members to millions of viewers!

Funny story about Michael...I had pictures of my 2 crushes, Jon Bon Jovi and Michael Easton on my fridge during one of my pregnancies. I was due Feb 27, but always went late, so told my husband we would have our son on Jon Bon Jovi's birthday, Mar 2. I went into labor early so my husband laughed how I didn't have him on my crush's birthday. I laughed back. I had him on Feb 15, Michael Easton's birthday. That baby just graduated high school this year. 😄

Maurice my 19 year old son was just diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He started meds a week ago. He has been all over the place emotionally. Praying we see improvement soon. Thanks for what you're doing.

Did not think it possible to love Michael Easton more, and here I am
Just watching and only in almost 6 minutes. What Michael is talking about, not running from the bad feelings and putting yourself right in it, is exactly what I do and it works. It sounds almost crazy, as you would think it would do the exact opposite, but trust me. What I do when I'm really in a bad way or if I react negatively to a comment , situation , person or whatever, the first thing I do is I don't judge myself or the other person or try to analyze it and go right to the feeling I'm experiencing. It's a bit scary at first but once you see what happens you'll lose your fear. I feel, feel, feel it, sit with it not resisting it and after a while a peace comes over me and it's done. It changes something inside of you and after a while you'll even react less. I call it surrendering to the moment, almost giving it to God and he changes you. It's a wonderful tool. Ok, back to the podcast.
