on this video i just arrive at the Accra Kotoka international airport. At the end we get to see the Jollibee House. travelvlog #passport #westafrica #ghana
Welcome! Sorry you were left to wander the airport concourse! 🙄 Its just taxis and porters looking for tips, you were in no danger, but id be nervous too in a new country. Hopefully you've had a few days rest and have an itinery for your stay. Edit- ive now watched the whole video and im unimpressed. If you are unhappy with your guide- look up Tony and Ayo with Expat Life Ghana, they from Texas or Henrietta Adjetey. They are both on youtube. They are guides and are welcoming and professional and will give you peace of mind and will plan your visit properly. All the best. Keep posting if you have questions. There are lots of kind thoughtful people to look out for you while you have adventures. Also, there is no real tipping culture in Accra. Give a tip if you feel it, dont feel obliged and 10-20 cedis is sufficient.
Thanks for your comments and concern. I was okay I just had to wait for 30 minutes not too long and the guide I had was awesome she was just stuck in traffic. I know the TH-camrs you are talking about, I am back in the states now, My next visit i would like to connect with some expats and other TH-camrs.
It was great to see this comment. It's not OK to have international or local arrivals arriving after very long flights having to wait around (especially if it's a first visit). We love to support local, but when you have social media now, we use use this extensively to acquire our information. I completely understand that it's common and a new culture that we will need to get used to it. Thanks to your comment, we will now be in touch for when we arrive for the first time!
Efya it's not cool to be late.No excuse. Do you know how stressful it'll be landing in a foreign country & not knowing anyone & your host is nowhere to be found.
@@williamgamelisenaya793 I am so sorry. I'm not piling on but I have to agree on what the stress level would be. I went with a tour group and the airline messed up the first day so we (me and my family) came in a day late. The tour guide was there with a sign and a smile and I felt so much safer knowing they were there waiting for us even though the airline made us a day late. It set the tone for the trip, that the tour guide was there with a smile waiting. It felt like family happy to see us finally arrive safe. Btw I am not saying Ghana was not safe. I just felt insecure because it was my first time traveling out of the country. I would have felt just as insecure traveling to another state in America if my only contact hadn't shown up.
He just landed in Ghana for the first time. His guide is late and he is alone. Of course he is nervous of the people coming up to him. _WE_ know he is safe at the airport, but _HE_ does not. Have a little sensitivity.
When will these idiots stop begging visitors for money at the Airport? Don't you guys know that is the first impression you create when first time visitors land in the country. At least let them settle down first..Which kind hustle be this one ... i just dont get it
