I think this movie is kinda of offend because some hmong people who goes to church is not this mean. They way how they treat this nyab is just ridiculous. I am married to a person who goes to church and my family does not goes to church but my husband family is not this mean. But now me and my husband come back to hmong old way.

Christians are actually happy when others come join them... such as when their son marries a nonbeliever into their family and teach her to become a believer. It's when their daughters go marry a nonbeliever that breaks their heart. I mean, it would only make sense since Christians are always trying to "convert" others right? This movie should be the other way around! LOL! It should be a Christian girl marrying into a shaman family! Fo`real!
I've been through it and I'm a shaman. not all Christian and shaman are bad nor good. I once love a guy who's a Christian plus his father is a pastor they won't allow their son to date me especially the mother. since the mother wouldn't accept me, I decided not to talk with him anymore. if you been through it, u will understand and believe it.. it doesn't matter if you're a Christian or shaman, the family should accept u who u r not your belief. it could happen both way...

I know that I can be a better actor of the christian side of this movie. I know for sure that a true christian does not act such evil toward others such these two ladies. The two ladies should prepare themselves for better characters and better attitudes! Those words which come out of their mouths tell me that they are not true christians and their acting do not match what they believe. Peace! Thanks.

For the wedding part, um hmong wedding is hmong wedding. Who says that Church guys can't bow down. Honestly, my husband is a church member and they did it too on our weeding day, It's so stupid. I feel that either yhu're still shaman or church hmong wedding is always the same. It's not like they're doing jingle bells for the wedding, So I don't kno why they do this movie so stupid like this.
This movie is pretty funny but just I don't get why the husband's family can claim to be followers of Jesus when they cannot even accept others. I would say as a believer myself, that is not the ways of Jesus Christ at all. I know it's only a movie but if people actually do this in real life it would be wrong don't you guys think?
I love this movie. This is a very good movie and also have lessons for us kids for the future too.
