Well, my wish list just grew.
I have both red rising and throne of the fallen on my bookshelves but haven't read them yet. I need to before I forget kingdom of the wicked completely. 😅
Yeah I ended up spending like a whole day trying to remember Kingdom of the Wicked before I read Throne of the Fallen and there definitely are some relevant things in the original series.
I have been on the fence about Under the Surface, but I'll give it a try after this!
Definitely let me know if you end up liking it if you get to it!
I'm not normally a Romance reader and I have a love/hate relationship with Christmas IRL lol but I had fun reading The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year.. even though I didn't really like how he was basically professing his love for her even though they hadn't even spent a lot of time together.
maybe it was just super hyped, but I thought We Used to Live Here was just ok. My favorite part was solving the morse code puzzle 😆
Under the Surface was fun! I love stories like that. If you haven't read it yet, I'd suggest also Into the Sublime by Kate A. Boorman.
Into the Sublime is definitely on my TBR, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
I 1000% agree with the criticism of Most Wonderful Crime. That's why I desperately wanted two POVs. One in her POV in the current day and then one in his in the past. I think it was such a missed opportunity.
@@kimberlyreads cool hope you enjoy Into the Sublime when you get to it
yes that MMC POV would have been perfect!
I loved Gallant and Red Rising. I'm surprised that Gallant gets so much criticism. I also loved Red Rising. Fair warning: there is a huge time jump between books later on.
I HATE TIME JUUUUUMPS 😂😂
Yeah I really don't get the Gallant hate.
