      Thank you so much, Laura!! I appreciate you. I do also have a tutorial on how to make the full folio in case you wanted to see how the whole Advent folio is made - th-cam.com/video/mjJBvlN4OOk/w-d-xo.html.

    Very nice calendar, pretty colours. I made a couple of Advent books like this and I strongly recommend using heavy weight card stock for the cover, it must be really sturdy otherwise it bends or wobbles once the boxes are filled. Also do the regular book cover with the paper folding around the spine to give it more stability, it is also helpful to place tyvac or any other sticky tape with paper surface on the spine creases, before you cover the inside with decorative paper. So the calendar holds weight and is reusable for more than one x mas. Have fun making such a book, kids and adults will love it!
    Greetings from Germany.

      Thank you for all the wonderful tips! I like to use medium or heavyweight chipboard for my covers. Tyvek is another staple in album making. Here's how I make my folio, but it sounds like you are a pro! th-cam.com/video/mjJBvlN4OOk/w-d-xo.html

      Thanks, Robyn! I think I'm going to start early this year too so it's not a mad rush at the end again. Lol. :)

    Do you have a tutorial on how to make the rest of this? I am not sure what you call the book that the boxes fit into. I would be very interested in how you made it. Thank you 🤗

      Hi Cherry! Actually, I do... or I should say I will. :) I'm sorry it took this long to record a video of it, but my tutorial on this exact style of Advent Calendar from beginning to end will go live tomorrow (9/8 @ 6AM PST). Thanks so much for dropping a comment and requesting it. If you have any questions after you watch the new video, please don't hesitate to drop me a comment! Thanks so much for watching & commenting! 💗💗

      I just found this video and would love to make this for family gifts. Is there a video or kit or demonstration on how to make the folio part itself ? Your video for the little boxes is wonderful and fully instructional. I just don't know how to make the folio part. Please help. Thank you.

    I love this idea but I just have. Score board what would be the measurements for scoring without what you were using?

    • @LVHandcrafted
      @LVHandcrafted  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You can mark the center point on each of the four sides of the paper. Then line up the center point of one side and the center point of the side next to it on one of your scoreboard tracks. Your paper should be at an angle so it won't sit flush with the top or side of your score board, but that's how you get a straight diagonal score line w/o needing the attachment that my scoreboard has. I hope that makes sense!

    What was that glass cube you used to cut the tape?

      Hi Emily! I use the smallest acrylic stamping block I have. I got it as a set of 3 on Amazon - amzn.to/3K6hwxF Hope that helps!

      That's ok. You can make this without one. I show a second way to do the same thing - th-cam.com/video/P8bstI2xvBA/w-d-xo.html&si=jqW_jAlS3qyAVdDT
