My father (38) passed away from heart trouble over 20 years ago, I was still a child, and we hadn't known a home in a long time. But hearing this song brings it all back, his voice, the way he picked up and carried us, his hobbies and habits.

My life is complete
I remember reading a father's poem about the lost of his son here. I can't find it anymore. Luckily I was so impressed and choked by the weight of the words in this poem that I thought : "It should thrive beyond the ages" so I copied it on my computer. Now that I can't find it anymore, I decided to paste it here again so the memories of this Dad, I remember his nickname was Wade, and his son can be set in stone. So here it is :

This song makes me want to cry, but in the best way. It sounds like nostalgia and homesickness and coming home but not to a physical building home but to a person or a place that made you feel safe as a kid. It sounds like growing up in the summers where you could play forever and you never got old got sick got hurt you just kept playing under the stars and there’s so much potential for the future that you can’t wait to get started but you also can’t wait to get back to playing like there’s no tomorrow. It sounds like the slight warp in the photo albums spanning decades to mirror the softened and rose-tinted warp in your memories of those times.

The first time i heard this song was when I was in Germany. I had gone to Germany on a scholarship and it was a dream come true. All the efforts I had put in finally made it possible for me. I met so many people there who became my family for the time I was there. This song not only reminds me of those people but the air I breathed and the ground I stood on. After 6 years, I finally found this song.. I thought it was a Canon advertisement.. I keep on searching for “canon advertisement soundtrack” at yt and nothing came up.. the Nikon ad always appear in cinema but I keep on confused about Nikon and Canon.. me and my dad listened to this song in the emergency room on our way to the hospital because i was on suicide watch. he started crying, that was a year ago and i am now a day clean. but i’m still here and i thought i would most definitely be dead by now and i’m proud of myself.
Now u tell us this.... Start crying.... My dad passed away on dec 7th, while we were heading to the hospital he died. just one corner from the hospital by a heart attack... He just felt in the back seat and say nothing nor any sound and he will never come back to home... Just as u father could say when were with u... We love u... Keep clean! If need ask... I can't give... Ask more.
@[blank] nothing here I've been depressed and considered bad things to do, did some. Still am. Know other depressed people. We hurt too much inside to care about our relatives anymore. And I've felt the same as you, I've hated others because of their own sadness. It's healthy and normal, and there is nothing you can do but survive and try to look somewhere else as much as possible. You're not the one that can help her except if she asks for it. If this happens, be there, but your life isn't about it. You can look away without feeling guilty, for your own sake.
My God I'm proud of you too. My daughter died by suicide. It's been 4 years and I can function but it's relentless and the guilt and trauma and effect on everyone is unspeakable. That being said, the person who suffers is the only person who can fight for themselves. I applaud you from afar. You are brave and strong and your Dad is so proud I'm sure. You did the hard work. Keep it up.
