"I love to see diversity" Yessss, i grew up on books where everyone looked the same and if they were't yt there were always the same exact words to describe them (I'm thinking specifically of JK rowling's descriptions). I inevitably write from a yt girl perspective but I'm working passionately on including diverse characters without tokenizing. Hearing about your characters is so cute, the love you're already feeling for them! It's wild to watch the beginnings after watching you go through your second draft hah.

I also love the IDEA of having a notebook for brainstorming and organizing and plotting, but you just can't beat a sleek, easy to edit computer program. I have too many chaotic ideas to make a notebook a viable option.

Artbreeder is crazy. I played around with it once and had some fun, but I started stressing me out so I stopped. I'll go back at it someday... when I'm calmer 🤡
Wait that’s so cool you do a draft 0! Do you feel like that takes some of the pressure off? I heard something in a YT video (can’t remember which) that your first draft (what I’m also thinking of as draft 0) is you telling the story to yourself, which I really love.
i love that way of seeing it too!! the zero draft was very helpful to me, especially since i had the outline down but i didn't have enough details to feel ready to commit to a full first draft (knowing that if i did i would end up changing a lot anyway) so i did a zero draft instead!! super helpful for me to figure out which plot points worked, which didn't etc.
My novel is going to be verrrryyy detailed and will probably end up a series, but one of my subplots is my mc getting stuck on a ship with a pirates crew.. she constantly fights with the captain and eventually that leads to the captain realising how she treats her crew (AND THERES ALOTTA CHEMISTRY-)

I like your channel, I'm checking out some smaller youtubers, and it's fun to watch a young writer. That said... I hate, hate, HATE Character Questionnaires. I'm not saying you or any writer should too, but they make me irrationally angry because they structure your creativity into some other creator's method of character which fails to answer the basic question: "How does this character's personality affect MY story?" They can be fun, but so many ask questions like "what's their favourite media?" or "what do they like to wear?". But unless that stuff is IN your story, you're wasting your brain by answering them. But more importantly, it doesn't answer some of the questions you will need to ask yourself for your story... like, you have a romance plot. You should ask yourself: *Why does my character find them attractive?* Simple question, one you should answer, but one that a generic template can't ask. I personally don't like this kind of tool at all, but if you do, I recommend making your own questions, catered for your story and its plot.
i totally see where you're coming from! some character questionnaires can definitely feel restrictive or inadequate for your story/characters. in those cases i certainly like to combine different ones or ask questions of my own! thank you for your insight and thanks for watching :)
