I don't understand how it took me so long to discover the treasure of Fatoumata. She is, at once, a hero and inspiration. It is somewhat rare for me to fall in love so quickly and wholly with with a musician; alas, I have. I could not hold her in higher regard.
Great artists and peculiar names! Fatoumata Diawara, Sadao Watanobe, Andries Walenveider. May someone please bring Fatoumata Diawara to Botswana. Her music blends with various peoples of Botswana... San, Ikalanga, Ratsie Setlhako.... Lovely
"Find your studio inside of your soul" wow. Fatou is amazingly multi-talented - a gift to the world. The Western countries need these messages as much or more - our people have a semblance of outward freedom and peace but we're prisoners to the cement and steel, consumer-based societies we have developed without any sense of a higher purpose or God.
Some artists are completely prominent among others with two complementary characteristics, one is their pure art and the second is their perpetual effort on humanitarian acts. Diawara is one of these few artists globally.
Lovely to see you Fatou and hear your beautiful voice full of compassion and love :) Only I'm not sure the Yanks appreciate let alone understand your beautiful passionate music, this not because they don't understand your language ( which I love ) But because they're driven by greed, hate and all those bad things which keep dividing people due to a corrupt, narcissist pathological liar in charge who lack of any form of empathy, I feel pity for America and what has become under this horrible, unhinged blowhard man, just to put it lightly..:( You're much more appreciated in Europe dear, I'm sure you're already aware of that :-) Please stay close to people who love you !
I am in full attention full awareness that my most passionate mission my executive summary is entwined in your music.. How can I become a Biworo Gang member please I'm like a Human rocket when Yakandi comes on and I literally blast off soon as his voice (Bamba yet ti ma Anga bulla 🎇something like that 🤩). Your Mother is 🙏🌹🌼🌈🌞🎊🦚
Neb Afrakan (pan African) thought, Ma'at based people's courts and Ron Khmi as the universal language just as Chief Anta Diop told you to do back in the 1960's.
I hope I remember this when I’m old and realise how amazing this was to hear and adore as an 18 year old
Nice comment
Now you’re 21 😊
