    Hi Patrick. Yay for a great video showcasing another herb I have not heard of. Yay for seeing Timmy frog again. Yay because it is always a great day when you upload. Big hugs for you and tickles for the critters. X x x

    This soap looks so soothing and calming on the sink. I have never smelled Chaparral but I do like the smell of neem so I imaging I would like it.
    Can't wait to see you piping!

    Oh man, if you ever need more Chaparral I’m your lady! lol It grows rampant here in Lubbock. I can bring chaparral, fresh aloe, and prickly pears by the truckload if you ever need it.

    Hi Patrick,
    I've never heard of this plant but the information you put up on the screen was very interesting. Watch out Patrick a leopard never changes it's spots lol, cheeky frogs. What a beautiful forest green this soap is.

    Sir, first time I heard of such a herb though I always try to learn about new herbs. Always I learn something new from you. It's a blessing that you get all these additives to add in the soaps and balms. Stay blessed. 🌸

    We have creosote growing all over our property and beyond here in Southern az. If I'm stressed, I go outside and rub leaves between my fingers, inhale. Instant rain storm. They are amazing

    I love the relaxing music and calming voice you have Patrick. A friend of ours is fascinated and excited about Creosote AKA Chaparrall! I currently live in the desert of Las Vegas, NV, so this is a bush that naturally grows here. This herb is new to me but I am finding out that it has a wonderful smell of rain. I just ordered the bush oil and the Chapparral hydrosol through Etsy. Can't wait to smell it and start making soaps again and use the Chaparral Hydrolsol in my diffuser!

      Hi Jeanne, first off some for the delay, I have been behind on responding and am trying to catch up. Oh how great you live there where it grows so well, it grows here too pretty well, but not like it does in the desert. Thanks so much for visiting.

    You have a recipe for that soap? If so can you provide a link to it in your comment?

    Hi there! Thank you for the information. What is your recipe? How much chaparral leaf was used?

    Thank you for posting this! I live in Arizona and my husband suffers from psoriasis. I've read that the creosote infused soap is helpful, so I plan to make this! I'm new to soap making. What carrier oil did you use to infuse the creosote? Olive oil? What other oils did you use in your soap? I love the natural color and can imagine the scent is better than any fragrance oil I've been trying in my soap!

      I used olive oil for infusion for salve, but have heard shea butter or other oils could be used as well. I’ve never made soap but I’m guessing it’s the same.

    Fascinating! I have heard of and possibly seen chaparral buhes, possibly in southern part of Colorado or north New Mexico. But can't seem to remember it. It is interesting! Is it similar to Pine Tar soap or is it just a herb? The word Creosote makes me curious and was wondering if any of that comes through. The bars came through avery lovely green. I used to be a cake decorator (ages ago) and am sure, once you get the hang of it, you will like it, even though it is a bit more preparation. Blessings. 💕💕💕

    How well does the scent retain in the finished soap? Is 100% of the oils used infused? Thanks!

    Hi Patrick. You named aloe gel, sugar and water but you never mentioned soap base or lye. Is it possible to do without lye? I just made creosote salve but am too nervous to make soap because of the lye.

    • @SoapyOaksFarm
      @SoapyOaksFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's made with sodium hydroxide which is a lye, in fact also is made with lye. Thanks so much
