This took me back to the bowling alley in 1980. The smell of cigarettes, beer, popcorn, and hot dogs... my vending machine and arcade quarters loaded in my pockets. Fun times!
Steve B i remember i used to string this game and get 99 credit, scotch tape yarn string to a quarter and slow move down until u feel whatever then back up and down up and down!
Picking one up next week which came out of my local little arcade when it closed way back in the late 80’s. It’s been sitting completely unused for 35 years, and looks almost brand new. I’m so excited!
I recently bout an all original centipede of some lady for $300. It's like new. I couldn't believe it I love it and play for hours every night after work
Such a beautiful cab and great game! I was never particularly good at it but now I have an A1Up version and Im slowly getting better! I used to go to the arcade in the mall, Barrel of Fun, and lose a lot of quarters to Centipede. Love your vids and thanks!!
Arcade rules.Picked up a arcade 1up and I love it.Cant afford a big one but I d love to have the big asteroids one if I could.Cool video man.great looking cab here
Very cool John, have fun with your 1up... save a spot for a full size one down the line, you'll probably run across a good deal on one eventually. Fun stuff!
Have you ever converted a Centipede from CRT to LCD? I am having some trouble wiring the CGA/EGA/YUV TO VGA converter input to output from the game. Any suggestions?

How much is this worth? I have one in my garage that has 10 pages of Atari games. It still has the side art. It is also jailbreaked. Let me know. Love the channel.
Great video. And what's with that "you guys ain't ever played Centipede"? Uh, yeah, pretty sure I was playing it before you were born youngster. LOL The buttons were anodized-aluminum cones, bought mine from a warehouse in CA for $45 each as NOS. Only way to build your own arcade is with the actual parts!
@@LyonsArcade LMFAO! Yep I'm older than dirt! These classic games, I remember when each of them came out! It's great seeing your videos brother. Have you ever considered doing some videos about finding parts and building game machines for people like me who are hobbyists (ok fanatics) using MAME and building various different controllers?

Ahhh, the bowling alley! It smelled a little bit like that stuff they sprayed in the shoes too...

is that sold
+Holly Bernard It is, but we've got another one since then that's still here in the showroom, $899 !
I miss the arcade, it was great when arcades were top of the line technology, and socializing wasn't demonized and feared by cowards and conformists.
Sounds like you and I would agree on about everything :) Thanks for watching!
