Non IITians are always in the quest of proving themselves. They always knew they've got to work a lot. And Disney guy makes it look even tougher. Taking everything so seriously just to prove your worth!!! IITians have the early advantage, they've done it and hence they can do it ever again.
These guys are like they have no expectations of their children. They are like, have we done everything to nurture the child in all ways . For some reason, it feels good
@pineapple9644 I just meant in a fun way. Dude, cool down . I said that because I believe that usually parents have very high expectations of their children for an example parents do scold when you get fewer marks or fail at something that everyone can pass . These guys are like, if they fail, how we are gonna back them up . I totally understand that they didn't want their children to face the same problems that they faced.
What could you infer?Just 2 people sitting there made you make a generalised statement. There are a lot of non IITians who are really confident and are not scared of failure because they too have seen a lot in their lives.
Having sense of humor isn't confidence. The loudness of talk isn't confidence. But presence of mind and thinking twice while answering and talking only while necessary is actual confidence. You are judging on the basis of how people talk. People have different personality and in normal conversation, you cannot determine a person's confidence. I hope you understand.
Didn't look like that to me. Humility was present in everyone there. Maybe the IITians were a little less serious about their answers, but we don't know that for sure because they were cut off from completing their thoughts very often. I'm not defending them, but I don't think any of them were pompous or rude.
the reason why india would never be a real global power because we glorify iit and high paying jobs too much rather than skillset and an excellence , so if the youth will be focussed on being a high paid servant how he /she can innovate , not saying this out of jealousy or anything but i have been to several developed countries we are way behind than them .
Same in the Philippines. Indian and and Filipinos have similar culture and put too much emphasis on Engineering background and high paying jobs, while lacking entrepreneurship, creative, and original thinking.
What makes you think IITians are not skilled? Or anyone not in IIT is skilled? It literally depends on the person and not the college! But IIT has it's advantages like giving a headstart in their career.
Also there is a slave mentality that comes from top down where the culture is work extra hard, sacrifice personal life and continue the process. Looking down at those who want to stick to work hours only. I have worked in canada and usa and the companies with mostly indian staff is super toxic, slave minded. And the end result is people are super fake and upset. This results in poor quality work.
Nice conversation. This IIT vs Non-IIT conversation recently has taken a worng turn. Entering into an IIT itself is a proof of someone's hard work, consistency and intelligence. This doesn't mean that others are not. But if one has to select there has to be a some way to judge. Just like when you hire a chef you would prefer someone who has actually done something worthwhile. The great thing is that in technology there are many ways to work and prove your value.
if you are comparing IITians with noniitian atleast bring them with same experince .This is basised as non iitians have more experience in the same sample set.
@@dreameater6973 wtf... How could you generalize? Also if they are not mature enough, let that be displayed in the video, what's the point of making everything up beforehand?
@@jagadeeshgurana4490 I am not the one who owns this channel...from mature I don't mean being mature in a literal way..what I meant was having an understanding of industry and the market and how things function... They get these skills only with experience while on the other hand IITians get a lot of exposure and face immense competition within their college campus only , which leads to them knowing all these things.. There may be exceptions !
@@ashu7pathak hahah except Indian companies bro, % cut off hai na, i worked in big 4 , ibm , accenture , salesforce and NTT , never asked my % , the moment any Indian IT company calls, they get heart attack after listening to my % , no idea why they ask for even director positions, its really dumb concept
so don't work then if happiness is less. ambition if it depends on hardwork and money, then you will always be sad. if your ambition depends on passion, then happiness will be multifold no matter where you are.
Saying that IITians have a "privilege" is a bad characterization. They go through the toughest competitive exam and prove their mettle against millions of other students and then go through a grueling 4 year curriculum which is far superior to any other engineering college in India. Those who couldn't make it through the system should not call it "privilege". It would have been privilege if they got in because of their family name or money power or political connections, but none of that works for IIT entrance. Those who call it privilege are just jealous.
In a country like India with low employment rate, getting in IIT do provide a good chance in job opportunities. This is what we call privilege although this privilege is no doubt earned with immense hardwork.
@@Pentagonongo If an advantage needs to be earned by working for it, then it can not be called Privilege. That's the definition of Privilege. For example, say you work for a job and then you get paid for it. Would you say that the payment for the job is a privilege?

IITian non IITian kuch farak nahi padata. I have worked with, hired and fired IITians and non IITians both. I have been living in Silicon Valley for the past 26 years. I went to a tier 3 engg college in interior Maharashtra that had 1 computer for every 20 kids. Lot of my classmates are now C suite executives, VPs, EVPs of large Silicon Valley companies. Ex CIO of Tesla, who is a good friend of Elon lives in my neighborhood. He went to university of Madras. I can give so many examples. I really think it’s a waste of time to burn yourself out to crack some exam just to brag you went to IIT
how can you justify this difference on the basis of 2 people groups of iitians and non-iitians? If you really want to show the difference then do the comparison with lot more people from various colleges.
Following is from my experience in an interview with a top engineering firm in India. A question is asked to a non IITian and he answers the question from engineering point correctly but is not confident and has lots of "I think" in his sentences. IITian does not know the engineering answer to the same question. He makes up a question similar to the question asked and answers it correctly with confidence. IITian gets selected! I believe it is because non-IITian was not confident in expressing his thoughts. Of course, this is just an example and am sure there are many confident non IITians too.
Overall the video is amazing, just one thing we would really appreciate if you let the conversation get over and then move to next step or atleast let the sentence get over. 😅
I am proud that I have known Elon Musk because be it IIT or Anything else, it doesn't matter to me. One thing I learned from him is continuous learning and adapting to new trends.
One correction about Polgar Sisters. The energetic IITan said 3 of them becamse Grandmasters so we can't say it's because of Nurture or Nature. Polgar actually took this into account and married a mediocre IQ woman and he had mediocre IQ too. He did that to prove that it's definitely not because of genetics or "Nature". So it was purely because of Nurture!
There is a huge MAYBE when they say that IIT will give a good push initially. From what these guys said, 1crore p.a. packages are not given to anyone and everyone. If you don't work hard there, no one can save you. So just, BE HAPPY AND WORK HARD. If you somehow get a job but don't do that then you WILL be replaced by someone more capable of working hard and in a time-efficient manner.
The difference is in starting package of IIT and Non - IIT even though they both perform decently will avg 12% hike annually 5 yrs down the line IIT will be far ahead of non iit. and the interview calls received if u have IIT in resume vs NON IIT is uncomparible. NON IITians are recruited for doing mundane and redundent work as a generalist, who can be replaced. even though one has talent they usually end at bottom, because even to crack ijp in company HRs look for person who got referal from higher management many be relative or a friend. in short without knowing or having power full network and not having tire 1 degree it will take so much time to reach decent salary even if you have talent. iriony is if didnt studied in tire 1 clg and if u r from middleclass there is no way u can get that much infuencial network.
So what should me as tier-3 college student do to get a good networking and a good package? Should I try for GATE exam or should I move abroad permanently? I am from a poor family not even middle class.

I am an MBA in HR. I feel there is a lifelong disparity between the Ivy league( XLRI, MDI kind) grads and the rest like me. There is also this preference for women in HRBP roles. Recruitment, HR shared services and people analytics are still agnostic to Gender and institute u graduated from. However, for roles like Talent strategy, HRBP, Talent development, ER etc. its so depressing to be discriminated as a non ivy league male member of HR community. This is the state even after a decade long association with popular Tech firms as an HRBP( I did mba from Icfai Hyd). My sorrow here is that unlike technology the disparity is perennial and only a 2 yr mba from Ivy league can offset it..which is practically impossibl to crack ☹️

Confidance level it self is different In IITin and non IITian
It is and it takes a lot of effort to come out of the mental barrier to succeed later in life.
What could you infer?Just 2 people sitting there made you make a generalised statement. There are a lot of non IITians who are really confident and are not scared of failure because they too have seen a lot in their lives.
So you conclude from 4 data samples?
Then why aren't they in politics?😂😂
Your mind is very average
Having sense of humor isn't confidence. The loudness of talk isn't confidence. But presence of mind and thinking twice while answering and talking only while necessary is actual confidence. You are judging on the basis of how people talk. People have different personality and in normal conversation, you cannot determine a person's confidence. I hope you understand.

Just an observation , non iitians looked so humble compared to iitians despite being so good.
Didn't look like that to me. Humility was present in everyone there. Maybe the IITians were a little less serious about their answers, but we don't know that for sure because they were cut off from completing their thoughts very often.
I'm not defending them, but I don't think any of them were pompous or rude.
I think non iitians answers were more polished and experienced and iitians answers were like casual answers. Seem so

the reason why india would never be a real global power because we glorify iit and high paying jobs too much rather than skillset and an excellence , so if the youth will be focussed on being a high paid servant how he /she can innovate , not saying this out of jealousy or anything but i have been to several developed countries we are way behind than them .
i agree on that
Same in the Philippines.
@@kbshrivastav8539 no, they don't.
What a great man that white tshirt iitian is he speaks up without being thinking abt being judged simple man great way ahead
11:24 okie this really makes sense . Honestly Darpan bhaiyya spoke facts and his point of view is far more logical ❤
if you are comparing IITians with noniitian atleast bring them with same experince .This is basised as non iitians have more experience in the same sample set.
it cant be avoided...iitian stay in cloaed enviro.....tier 3 roam whole open world
They did that to keep the level same .... non IITians are usually not mature enough

Tbh having IIT tag is a privilege in a country like India, so you can stop justifying it 🥴
@@Pentagonongo If an advantage needs to be earned by working for it, then it can not be called Privilege. That's the definition of Privilege. For example, say you work for a job and then you get paid for it. Would you say that the payment for the job is a privilege?

If you really want to show the difference then do the comparison with lot more people from various colleges.
Following is from my experience in an interview with a top engineering firm in India. A question is asked to a non IITian and he answers the question from engineering point correctly but is not confident and has lots of "I think" in his sentences. IITian does not know the engineering answer to the same question. He makes up a question similar to the question asked and answers it correctly with confidence. IITian gets selected! I believe it is because non-IITian was not confident in expressing his thoughts. Of course, this is just an example and am sure there are many confident non IITians too.

I am from iit bombay and this year i get 1.25 crore per placement package from Microsoft
There is a huge MAYBE when they say that IIT will give a good push initially. From what these guys said, 1crore p.a. packages are not given to anyone and everyone.
