    I tested the Valeo Windshield Wiper motor REF: 535 67 502 installed originally on a Clio3 Phase2 1.5 DCI, it has the same connexions and in the same place as yours (Negative, Perm.P, Low speed, High speed).

    If you don't mind Please can you tell me where I can get the 12 volt battery and the wires/Leads that you have in the video

      Just like I mentioned in the other comment:
      Red and black leads I made myself out of high quality test leads. My local electronic store sells it by foot, very flexible and 600v insulated. Crocodile clips also bought at the same store. You can search on amazon or any other electronic store will carry those jumper wires. White wire I found laying around on construction site, it's 18/2 size and mostly used for low voltage as door bell wire, etc..
      Battery is Dewalt 12v, but you can get one from the car charger, car battery or any LED lights transformer that has an output of 12v DC. They really cheap, again any electronic store will have it.

    So, are you providing ground or power to make motor work?

    • @biesasuk
      @biesasuk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both, positive and negative comes from battery.

    I have a 1993 Mazda 626 and my wipers only work in one speed and don't return "home" when I shut them off. How do I determine if it's the motor or the multifunction switch?

    • @SkidsNDonuts
      @SkidsNDonuts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's normally the relay playing up

    please help I have a 2005 navigator one mechanic told me that the fuse box is the cause of my wipers not working another mechanic says the motor is getting power but it's not coming from the fusebox so he had me replace the fuse box and still no wipers ANY SUGGESTIONS? PLEASE HELP!

      if you have power at the wiper motor and when you turning it to all different settings power still there in that case has to be the motor. Also check the Neutral cable, if that has bad connection all the way to fuse box, it will not work. You have to test power right inside wiper motor plug, to make sure you have solid ground and good power.
      I measured steady power and then all the settings on speed 1-2-3 and so on, to make sure you have voltage coming on those settings and speeds. Hope it helps!

      @@biesasuk yes it helps a ton because now folks are talking about buying a BCM

    • @biesasuk
      @biesasuk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffwatson151 Yes I would say test all pins first to make sure your plug works properly, specially on older cars, could be a broken ground somewhere and that would not work. If plug with pins has power and settings work then, has to be the motor. If settings don't work, has to be something with relays and more testing needs to be done. It might even make you to change whole board which is most likely very expensive, hope not!

    by using digital multimeter what is the current or watts?

    • @biesasuk
      @biesasuk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I have no idea, I never needed a meter or to see how much current it's pulling. I just measured voltage to make sure you have 12v.

    if I bypass the relay with a paperclip the wiper motor kicks on. I've replaced relays, fuses, multifunction switch and checked wires and grounds. still can't get them to turn on with the lever like normal. just happened one day...
