    Gr8 video sir
    I have a question though:
    Should I oil my stabilized walnut wood knife handle or it only applies for unstabilized wood? Thanks

    • @FosterandBoys
      @FosterandBoys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thankyou sir, this mainly applies to unstabilised wood, but instead of using linseed oil and methylated spirits, id probably use a dash of tung oil to bring out the grain out of the stabilised wood. More for aesthetics than anything! The stabilised wood shouldn't take on any moisture and be protected from the elements anyway. cheers!

    Very nice video. With atmospheric music, very well chosen.

  • @JDAfrica

    Is there any reason why you don’t preshape a knife scale closer to the tang (ie: with a jigsaw) - so you have smaller offcut scales for smaller pocket knives or kitchen knives?
    To me, it means less grinding, and opportunity to reuse the offcut pieces.
    But - I’m super cheap

    Hey great knife. I have a quick question. Where can I order that belt you were referring to that allows you to get into the corners without cutting into the wood on the handle ?

    • @FosterandBoys

    • @FosterandBoys
      @FosterandBoys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers mate! I guess there is no hard and fast rule as they do a similar job, but from my experience I prefer to use meths as its less harsh and potent on the skin and nose... give both a try and see what you reckon! Cheers
